Are away goals in effect, and what happens if it's a draw at the end of the two legs? And, who plays their away game first?

Just want to know if away goals count in this tourny and on the 2nd leg they should put EX and PENO's incase if its a draw otherwise cant have a drawn match.

Yeah I agree with that - second leg should have Extra Time and Penalties turned on. I personally don't think that away goals should count double - host makes no difference on PES6 after all.

PLEASE NOTE: Fixtures will be played over 2 legs (home and away) using the same game settings as the group stage. Both legs are to be played at the arranged time.
So are we not playing 15 mins like originally stated in the rules? Just two 10 minute matches then...

what happens if its a draw on aggregate, for example 1 - 0 in the first match and 0 - 1 in the second it cant then go into extra time.

What i say about that is, if its a draw after aggregate, then a further 5 min match should be played to decide the winner (like extra time really), if its a draw at the end of then, it goes into penalties.

Disagree with that - stamina/fatigue/number of pauses would be screwed up. The advantage of picking a team with good stamina would be completely void.

Well as far as i can see, its the only possible way, because you cant have extra time on the second game only in case one team wins that match, but have lost the other match...the only other alternative is to play one leg which i'd prefer not to do.

Yeah this is the problem I identified last night hence why the knockout stage was originally one leg straight knockout.
Basically if its a tie after both legs, then away goals count...if its a still a draw then extra time n penalties will need to be played. Obviously you can set the second game up to cater for this...n only use it if this situation arises (I couldnt find a decent way of wording it in the rules tbh). Just use your common sense...its not that hard to figure out.
Also it was only the semis n final that were to be 15 minutes, but as we are doing 2 legs now (including the semis) as per official Champions League rules then they will be 2 x 10 minute legs.

Kon, why do away goals count? Host makes no difference on PES6, it's just the order of the names.
I hate the idea of drawing with someone in two games but going out due to a non-existant host advantage.

I agree, but in RL football there is an advantage to being at home and a disadvantage away. In PES there isn't.
One leg FTW.

Bloody typical...I change the rules due to public opinion n now they are rebelling! lol :D
I will create a thread n take the opinions of the 16 players involved only.

I think two legs, away goals only take place after extra time in the second game. Like in real football.

thats a load of rubbish almost as bad as the new offside rule so stupid having away goals count after extra time because it give the team thats away in the 2nd game give them extra 30 mins to score another away goal the team that was away in 1st game doesnt give them extra 30 mins do they? so why should 2nd team have extra 30 mins and they count as double it has to be put down as the stupidiest rule ever!
Gaskin

Because it also gives the chance of the home team who previously scored the away goals to hold their away goal lead or gain a bigger lead by scoring. It's not stupid if you think about it.

No thats wrong gaskin. Away goals rule is always applied at the end of 90 minutes after the second leg. It only goes to extra time if both sides are still equal. I've give n you the link to the Champions League rules in one of my posts above.

Rulez should be:- Same as Champions league which is 2 legs, 1 leg in final, away goals count, silver goal is it? or just have 30 mins of extra time, then penaltys if still level. Its called pes champions league so should feel as the same as the real thing! who gives a **** if host means nothing on the game, if u concede when your at home thats your folt think about your tactics so basic! away goals should count! Wat u think?

Well I'm talking about the league cup, not too sure about the champions league.

From the Uefa.com website:
"Knock-out rounds
A draw determines who each of the 16 clubs will play in the first knock-out stage, with ties decided over two matches on a home and away basis. The club that scores the greater aggregate of goals advances, or in the event of both teams scoring the same number of goals, the team which scores more away goals. If the away-goals rule proves inconclusive, extra time of two periods of 15 minutes is played after the second match. If during extra time both teams score the same number of goals, away goals count double (ie the visiting team advances). If no goals are scored during extra time, the winner is decided by penalty kicks"

Yeah thats what I said already! :D
...basically its upto you guys if you want it as official Champions League rules or what we have tested as being the best for online competitions? I dont mind either way so have your vote in the poll n have your say.

Ive written in the poll. The only problem though, which i think you touched on that you had identified, but unless i have missed it, you didnt really address, is that extra time cannot be set to be played after the second match as the aggregate score isnt recognised by the game.
If a team wins 1-0 but then draws 1-1, they win the game 2-1 and so extra would not need to be played but the game would go into extra time.
Also if both teams win 1-0 on their home leg then the aggregate score will be 1-1 which will require extra time.
Obviously there isnt really a problem with the first situation, but with the second are we just using a 5 minute match with extra time off and penalties on, to be hosted by the home team?

It simply needs a little common sense to be used tbh (a hard ask I know! lol :D).
If the second game is set up with extra time and penalties on then it doesnt take a genius to work out whether or not they need to be used or not. You can simply stop/end the game at any point before extra time or penalties depending on the score at the time (basic maths n rules of football apply).
