I thought that at 32 inches using 1080p from the recommended distance the Human Eye can recognise no more pixels. Although I suppose if you sit fairly close you may get the benefit :s

if you read the article, it says people fainted as it was real time, right there, id love to see what a games console would look like on an output of that

Add to that UHDV's beefed-up refresh rate of 60 frames per second ... In developing UHDV, NHK has also focused on sound. The standard calls for 22.2 sound: 10 speakers at ear level, 9 above and 3 below, with another 2 for low frequency effects...

haha, only an American newspaper could write Beefed-up, that and maybe the Daily Express.

The article is really interesting though. A good read. I love the 22.2 sound. :P my rooms walls can't even cope with my 5.1, the bass rips though them so easily. lol

The NHK are the equivalent of the BBC, they are really large in Japan. I helped a friend translate for them, kind of shows their extent.
