UK, February 12, 2007 - Bungie's introducing a new feature for Halo 3's multiplayer which lets you mute any irritating idiots that keep talking about "owning you" or calling people "noobz". Thank the lord.

In the latest Bungie Update, content manager Frank O'Connor hits the nail on the head by saying "teenagers, plus anonymity, plus microphone = idiot". Something many people that have played either Combat Evolved or Halo 2 online will attest to.

So, step in the A-Hole Button, which "lets you exact instant, silent vengeance" on "vocal buttmunches" who, according to O'Connor, are as fun to play against as normal people, as long as you can't hear them.

Simply hit the back button and the score list comes up with everyone's tag on it. By cruising through the list with the right stick you can highlight the babbling berk and mute them for the rest of the game. Bliss.

"We're doing our best to come up with lots of smart solutions for stuff like this," continued O'Connor, "but honestly, we can't be parents to some of these poltroons. We're much more concerned with giving you guys the tools you need to silence them."

Something that every game should make so simple. No more having to go to the Guide, the players list, then pressing A to mute someone.

All the consoles can do is stumble along the tunnels following the PC's torch...

Well, there was something over at HBO recently, saying how PC gamers long for something as effective as the Halo 2 matchmaking system. So it's not all about consoles playing catch-up, thanks to Bungie! XD Of course, I'm sure some people prefer the server system, or whatever PCs use. Not sure. I'm not a PC gamer anymore. But I know I like the Matchmaking system, despite some of the people using it!

Yea, because it takes sooooooo much longer to do this:

Guide button
down 1, left 3
down between 1-8
Press A
Down 7

I mean all you miss out from that about 12 seconds worth? Is it really that much of a hassle? You get most of it done while you're respawning and the rest done while you're in your base away from danger (most of the time).

Sorry...wow, bungie are unbelievably original. You mean you can mute people now adays? It's like the future and we're all riding on jet packs!
