New Halo 3 screenshots

Several new Halo 3 screenshots from the Alpha build have been leaked and found their way onto the Internet.

The screenshots show some of the weapons that will be available in the game, including the sniper rifle.

Do you think the scope on the sniper will be the final design or will they keep the little screen thingy? Also, whats with the random hair clip on the second pic? :eek:

That's to block out the name/number, isn't it? All Alpha builds are registered with name/numbers and blocking that out means that the person that Alpha build is for doesn't get into trouble.

That's my theory anyway.

Yeah that will be the case, looking ok, i am deatign whether or not to keep my 360 atm so i hope they release some more Halo3 footage sooner rather than later as it is definately just going to be a Halo box now for me again. The environments look nice though and hopefully we will see a few more jungle type multiplayer maps too.

The only things that these pictures really show us is that they confirm the "number" system Bungie talked about to replace the logo above the heads of teammates. A much smarter idea and looks good already. Also I noticed on the 1st and 2nd picture near the top of the screen some kind of liner compass? Maybe to give you a sense on where you are going on big maps or even u might get chance to plot way-points before (or) in game to different routes on the map and that then allows you to following them though the HUD? Who knows?

The graphics look average for a 360 game but I doubt that the Alpha version is running anywhere near full power yet so I’m pleased with what i see :)

What is that thing in the 3rd picture?

Is it a blown up warthog? because my eyes hurt when i try to make something of it.
