View Full Version : Mobile Phones...
What mobile phone do you have? Mine is the Sony Ericsson K750i. Its decent, good camera, decent memory on the phone plus you can buy a memory card. Its also an mp3 player and has all the usual extras you'd expect (bluetooth, games etc). The network I'm with is Virgin Mobile. Before I got my phone people often said the signal is bad but i usually have full signal and only once have looked at my phone and been unable to make a call.
Phone Rating: 8/10
Network Rating: 8/10

i have the 510i, not as much memory as the 750i, but i have a ze, with 30gi on it, so a mp3 phone is pointless for me, but i do like the sony Ericsson phones, always nice and compact with loads of features

yeah. Theyre also reasonably priced. For example DayC has a nokia and it costs like
Sony Ericsson s700, it's a cracking phone, still get loads of comments about it whenever i open it up at college to send a text message :D
Getting a bit long in the tooth but other than the w900 there isn't anything out there as nice, the w600 is a horrible spinner after I spent a few hours using it the other day, w900 though is nice and smooth... need money :D
I have had my W900i for about 14-15 months now and it's been a pleasure throughout. It's unique design (which Sub so yearns for too) is what drew me to the phone, as well as a featureset that despite it's age stacks up against the best even now.

Noable features:
- 2Mpx Camera with Auto Focus, Spot Photometry, and QVGA 30FPS video capture.
- Nvidia Go hardware accelerator; which makes things like fairly decent MP4 video possible.
- 470Mb internal memory.
- Walkman software with a 2Gb Memory Stick Duo Pro. :)
- 3G data; with a 2nd VGA camera for video calling.
- 2.2" Display.
As for network, well i'm with Vodafone, and personally i've had no problems whatsoever with service. I use my phone over 3G to connect to Gmail (via Google's rather neat JAVA application) and also the web via Opera mini and haven't been stung with data charges of yet. I find their Vodafone Live! portal to be very useful and the fact that it's free to access.
This picture is for Sub:

Phone 9/10 - I can't really ask for alot more from my phone, it's looked after me well, and still stands out in the crowd for design and specs. I'm struggling to find a worthy replacement, as we near 18months of mobile phone development, that speaks volumes. Maybe after the little beauty has seen the wonders of the world, it'll be a little more whacked, we shall see...
Network 9/10 - Once again, quality, I have no quarms rejoining Vodafone on contract, when I come home from Travelling.

Highly recommend.

Thats irrelevant if he bought it 15 months ago. duhhhhhh
The phone I have is the Nokia N70 which is about 50% business phone I think mainly due to the fact that it can run it's applications such as Adobe Reader, Norton Antivirus (don't ask me why, I don't know of too many phone viruses ) and Real Player etc. It has a smart little 2 MP camera which can do the usual, film video and take photographs. It has Bluetooth, Mp3 player and other little extras that you'd expect but the thing I like the most about this phone is the size of the screen, yes the buttons maybe squashed but the screen is quite big compared to most kids phone's that I see and I really like it.
The main bad thing about this phone though is that it is built like a big silver brick which a lot of people don't find very stylish at all. Another would be that it uses a multimedia card instead of an SD card which seem to be very expensive and the memory that comes on the phone is a low 64mb on the card with 20mb internal.
The network I am on is O2 and I have never completely lost signal once.
Features: 9.5/10 - Nearly everything is there.
User Friendly: 7/10 - Easy to use applications but buttons are quite squashed.
Network: 9/10 - Very reliable but everything's better when it's free.
Overall: 8.5/10

It doesn't matter how much he bought if for because it was 15 months ago and the price isn't going to be the same now. If only brains grew on trees eh?

My housemate has that LG chocolate one and he absolutely loves it. Mind you it's the first phone he hasn't broken in a month. He kept breaking his Motorola Razr and had (I think) 5 replacements.
