Rumour: Black 360

A rumour has been circulating the Internet for months now that Microsoft will release a black Xbox 360 premium console. There are some interesting new ideas now that seem to support the rumour.

An Italian store chain has apparently been told to expect one around March. A March release surely would make sense to help combating the PS3 launch.

Is this how a black Xbox 360 would look like?

How bout you stop insulting the work done by others and make a positive contribution, yeah?

I think it looks pretty nice, and as long as it would be the same price as the standard white one then I would buy it as it will look better with my current set-up.
But knowing console companies, they will charge more just because it's a different colour (ps2 anyone?)

The same reason you would choose anything over anything because of colour. You want a new car, the car you want comes in black or white, you choose which you prefer. The new shoes you want come in loads of colours, you choose your favourite.
Saying that there is no point in having different colours for a console is silly, it's all about image.

I only have 1 360 which I have to share with my brother at the moment so I would consider buying a black 360, I would prefer it if they made it a glossy style black like the PS3 or the PSP.

I think the black one looks mint...but obviously you can buy the faceplates already n would save expensive custom paint jobs. Should have been black in the first place tbh.

I think I disagree with DayC, I think a matte black would look better than gloss black, but I spose thats just personal preference. At least it would reduce fingerprints lol.

Yeah 100% agreed. If my 360 blows up out of warranty then I will be huntin down a black one if they ever hit the shops...I reckon a relaunch alongside PS3 would be nice! ;)

lol, a clear photo shopped pic, if it were real, the HDD would be silver, as would the drive, but the gimp has just changed everything, back n silver look sweet, pure black looks naff
