The game, previously available on Xbox 360 only through The Orange Box, in its entirety will be put up for sale on the Xbox Live Arcade on October 22. In addition to the complete game, 14 new challenge maps that are exclusive to the Xbox Live Arcade have been added.

Do the people that own the game get the extra challenges?

Good question, I'll see if i can find more information. It would be nice as a free update for those that bought the orange box. Or extra maps for a small price without having to DL the whole game again.

Doubt it, if its coming out on arcade, it'll have another set of achievements to go with it... Kind of (but not really) like the PGR/Geometry wars nonsense.

Plus the sentence " 14 new challenge maps that are exclusive to the Xbox Live Arcade have been added." Kind of implies that no, you'll be needing to buy it again...

That's good because i was planning on buying orange box but the only game i really wanted from it was portal. Now that they're selling portal seperately i'll probably just get that unless it's being sold at a stupid price.

Not happy about it!

Although Orange Box is possibly the best £40 ever spent - the fact that it can be found for less than £15 makes me wonder why every single 360 owner hasn't bought it!

Half Life 2 / Episode 1 / Episode 2 - Possibly some of the best single player FPS action you will ever receive, no wonder it recieved so many awards on the pc.

Portal - Easy game but really addictive finding new ways to complete challenges and beating your speed runs is brilliant.

Team Fortress 2 - TBH is probably my least favourite addition to the box but it has priceless moments of fun and great variety.

A must buy

I see what your saying but i find myself playing singleplayer less and less because online is usually alot more 'fun'.
Which then leaves Team Fortress 2 which just looks a bit of a joke and you said it yourself that you don't like it much.
That's why I just want to buy portal on it's own.
