Microsoft has released a choice selection of statistics pertaining to their heroic Summer of Arcade scheme, which just recently saw the release of Castle Crashers, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Braid, Galaga Legions and Geometry Wars 2. The figures say that Braid has become the highest rated Xbox Live Arcade game of all time, but that's just for starters.
Between all the releases August broke the monthly revenue high for Xbox Live Arcade by 67%, with 58% more unique users buying games.
Another game holding a number 1 slot is Castle Crashers, which has more people playing it today than any other Xbox Live game. That's right, someone's temporarily knocked Uno off the bloody top spot.
"At E3, we committed to re-focusing the Xbox LIVE Arcade business, vowing to release bigger and better games while focusing on quality and not quantity," said Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE. "The debut of the new strategy proved to be a huge success."
Fact is, this is good news for 360 owners and PS3 fanboys alike. These stats represent a company doing well purely because of selling excellent games, and the more often that happens the more games companies are going to strive for quality.
