The Fucapo UK Team would like to announce the launch of their new site at www.fucapouk.co.uk. Most of you will know quite a lot about their Team and their current product Blue Energy chewing gum. If you haven’t heard anything about it then where have you been? It’s the perfect product for LAN events and late night gaming. One pack of Blue Energy is the equivalent to 5 LARGE cans of energy drink. If Blue Energy can’t keep you awake and alert then nothing can. Also just to add keep an eye out for the next product, coming later this year.
To mark the launch of their new site The Fucapo UK Team are giving away a £349 150mW laser pen from www.OpenO.co.uk, to be in with a chance of winning this awesome toy all you need to do is buy a pack of Blue Energy before 03/10/08 to be entered into the draw. There is no limit to how many times you can enter and the winner will be picked at random and announced on Saturday 4th October. To tell you a little bit about the laser pen you have a chance to win. It runs on normal AAA batteries, looks just like a normal laser pen. However they have quite a bit more power than a normal pen and the beam is visible, not just the dot. They can cut through thin plastic, light matches and pop balloons. Check out this link to give you a better idea:

So get along to www.fucapouk.co.uk and buy yours, fingers crossed you might get yourself a very expensive toy for free!!

in the hands of a "retard" they may be dangerous yes, lol......but the same can be said about a run of the mill golf club.
Not sure whether i should be doing this or not but we havent exactly had hundreds of orders. Not a bad chance of winning the laser at the min ;) but sshhhhhh

I think there there pretty dam cool and i would rather spend a few quid on the chance of getting before i shell out over 300. I have already got some of some pilot emergency flares which go down a treat a fire works night night so this Lazar would cap it off.
Although the gum doesn t work for me the other half reckons there great for slimming as it kills your appetite..?!?

PLEASE change it to 350 instead of 349. It looks ridicolous.

we can change it to "over £300" but i dont want to say it costs £350, because it doesnt. i know that might sound petty but its easier to say what it costs

I think that caffeine suppresses your appetite and at the same time, chewing chewing gum also builds up stomach acid etc so it actually kind of tricks your body into thinking you're eating so both combined means that it would work a treat. However, down sides are caffeine is extremely addictive and chewing chewing gum too regularly can lead to stomach ulcers when the acid begins to corrode the side of the stomach.

The price you're charging for what is essentially a packet of chewing gum may be the answer. I fell in love with the stuff at XL5 after the taste was changed (it made me sick at XL4) - but don't think just because it's supposed to do the same as an energy drink, that you can get away with charging energy drink (plus) prices. It's still just a pack of gum.

I know that. But I only know that because I've been at XL and on here - for example, I have a packet of it here and although I know what it is, my said to me 'that new gum you bought tastes weird'. Yet she knows full well what a Red Bull/Rooster/Relentless/Sprite 3G/RB Cola is and does. Is she likely to pay more than 33p for 'that weird tasting new gum'? Nope. It's still just chewing gum to people.

That can be said about any product with variation. ummm keeping on topic, take the laser pens for example, all of them are "just laser pens" but the price can range from £29 - £1000, you get what you pay for. If you pay 33p you will get standard gum, if you spend £3.40 you wil get a whole lot more.
Products have variation, Blue Energy is a variation of chewing gum. Chewing gum to help people stop smoking is another variation on chewing gum, a pack of that is twice as expensive as Fucapo Blue Energy. More than 20x the price of a 33p pack on standard chewing gum

Yeah but he has a point. IMO there's no point in defending your prices if it isn't selling at that price. You're not trying to convince yourself, you're trying to convince the consumer. What's your profit margin per pack when selling at £3.40 if you don't mind me asking?

But the reason the nicotine gum is so expensive is because the companies are extorting people who are hooked on fags. It's the same reason cigarettes are 6 quid a go, and the patches are stupidly expensive. £3.40 for a pack of gum is still outrageous. You can make all kinds of claims about it boosting your energy, curing cancer or finding your car keys, but in the end it's not an absolutely necessary purchase. And when something's not absolutely necessary, it needs to have a competitive price. You say a £3.40 pack of gum is about as effective as three Red Bulls, but it's easy to find Red Bull for under a quid a can. And Red Bull is delicious.

It's 5 cans of Red Bull...and our gum is faster to act
This thread really wasnt about the price lol, it was about the free laser pen. I appreciate feedback more than any one. It's fantastic to have a forum like this so people can voice their views. However i have explained countless times we it costs £3.40. We are looking at ways to cut costs to pass the savings onto you but there are a lot of factors involved.

I can't see the issue with pricing to be honest at the end of the day we as consumers decide what price we will pay for products. If at £3.40 they are still selling then we as consumers obviously think the product is worth the price.
However if the product in question does price out people in buying it then it will have to come down in price.

I believe you're trying to keep this as a gaming kind of chewing gum?
But anyway, if that's the case, have you contacted GAME or any big high street game stores to see if they will stock the chewing gum? Might pay off.

I have aimed the gum at gamers to start with. we are in the process of moving to students, gyms, petrol stations, and major retail outlets. GAME is on our list!!
