Now this isn't a thread where i tell you i got 3 red lights and ask what to do next. It's a thread to ask if you think i should call customer support.

It's been nearly a year i've had my 360 and no problems. But recently I've turned on my 360, with a dvd in the tray, and it comes up with the error message and i get the 3 red lights. But i turn it off and on again and in true Microsoft fashion, it works again. Yay!

So do you think i have a real problem and will it get worse, or is this just a few random errors? I really can't be bothered sending my Xbox away until it really breaks.

I think you've pretty much answered your own question there.

If I were you I'd send it away though.

they fixed mine in 4 days, and paid for the courier both ways. mine's a bit farked too - it either e74's, or doesn't display on my tv at least twice every time i switch it on. it always works after i've kicked it tho':p

Thats happens to me also but with the games, if i turn my 360 off with a game in the tray it comes up with 3 red lights when i turn it back on, its been happeneing for ages and doesnt really bother me, i just have to turn it on, then off, then back on and it works. :D

You said it's been nearly a year. Does that mean the warranty expires soon? If you send it away to be repaired, won't your warranty be extended? If you answered 'yes' to both those questions, that may be a good reason to send it off! XD
