Concerning COD5 at XL

Well i'm pretty sure XL are planning to hold COD5, but I noticed it is a cert 18, does this mean if XL were to hold COD5, entrants would have to be 18+? Just wondering as most of the people I know that play cod4 competitively are around 16-17

gears is 18 cert but xl has permision to hold the tourneys as long as gore is turned off, and EVERYONE is i think 15+. Im sure it will be the same with CoD 5.

Until we play the game and speak with the BBFC (including local council) we won't have any confirmation of COD5 at XL. As soon as we have a copy in our hands, we will let you know the outcome.

In all honesty it would be silly from Activision's POV to launch it with no adult filters, as a large scale of their market are under 18. So I'd be hopeful that they do tweak it slightly.

Pegi is not legally enforceable in the UK as it is only an advisory rating...but that could change soon as they are trying to change the licensing laws. At the end of the day, it comes down to local council trading standards and we maintain full co-operation with the right ppl.

Where did you see COD5 has 18 certificate? Is it BBFC or Pegi?

I can confirm that COD5 will be at XL and we are in discussions with Activision regarding the title.

At MLG there is no age restrictions. The parents of the players sign a Waever to allow to them play.

Let parents choose if there children can play 18 games.As for the post above yes mlg do but that's because its the great usa where the ratings board are not abunch of nancys and realise that it's JUST A GAME,Im sure this could be allowed with cod5 seeing as there aint that many mad japs hoping to capture the world so it would be pretty hard to copy what you see.Its not fault of anyone here it's the stupid ratings board trying to find a excuse as to why so many little idiots are running around killing each other.Leave games alone i might do a leave britney alone video on youtube but for games how many hits do u think i would get lol.

I looked up 3 days ago, gamestation and amazon both had it as an 18, now its a 15? lol?
