All in-house Ubisoft games will carry subtitles from now on.

The move has been made with the deaf and hard of hearing in mind but it's also good news for those who don't want to disturb anyone late at night with their games playing.

The first batch of Ubisoft titles with subtitles will be Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia and Shaun White Snowboarding.

It should be common-sense that a gaming standard would make an agreement with all renown developers to include subtitles on all releases. Instead of directing resources towards censorship, all these committees, bodies, standard-bearers should direct resources towards making games accessible for all. I'm surprised that this isn't legally-compulsory.

It's hardly a lot of disc space, it's just text. Wait until your senses aren't up to the job anymore and some ignorant tosser tries to stop you doing something you enjoy.
