Fixture number: 14

Team names: Citizen vs SSB

Winning team: Citizen

Result: 3-0 (LVU Campus 3-0, Border Town 3-0, Calypso Casino 3-0)

Comments: As far as I know, two of their players haven't even registered to MatchBox360.com ("FnordlikeEmu" & "gandy16"), but we decided to let them play anyway. They also acted very immature and mocked us repeatedly.

FIXTURE NUMBER: 1
TEAM NAMES: Britains Finest Vs Right As Reign
WINNING TEAM: Right As Reign
RESULT: 3-0 (3-0 LVU Campus, 3-0 Casino Vault, 3-0 Streets)

COMMENTS: Unfortunately our opposition's team only had one member online so he elected to play as a one man team (with our team taking in turns to grenade themselves at the start of each match on his side) dislexic dave has now been invited to join Right As Reign as he's earned our respect by happilly going up against 4 rather than giving us a forfeit.

You would have been awarded the win anyway if it was proved they had fielded any non-registered players. It can get kind of messy if you give permission for non-registered players to play n the result goes against you, so please avoid this situation in future

Surely by the fact they have fielded players not registered they shouldnt of won?

They didnt win mate so its all good for now...but please avoid this situation in future as non-registered players simply means the game does not have to be played n the result would be void as we cannot prove whether or not permission was given n is purely one teams word against another.

The rules clearly state:
2. Any team found fielding non-registered players is in breach of the MatchBox360 rules and will subsequently be disqualified. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure opponents only play with registered team mates. As such, please supply evidence (screen shot or game links) if you to prove any use of illegal players.

I'm not one to normally complain. Infact, I've never complained about another clan before. Many people will be able to vouch for me and my clan but tonight's match was lame. We were forced to start at 7PM which meant I had to field a team which was rushed together (We don't like before 8PM starts) and also they couldn't honour my request to pause the game at 8PM so we could watch Top Gear (We pretty much we forced to play on). They said they were unable to play a clan match at 9PM due to college...in the Half Term Holidays. Due to it being 7:45 we decided death was the best way.

They then proceeded to camp on every single map. Bollocks I say.

You probably won't care but this is possibly the most shoddy un-organised event ever. Its not hard for the Tournament admin to tell people via e-mail or PM on their own clan forums that the fixtures are there so it can be arranged (Maybe a message via the 360?). You haven't even updated the website with the fixtures list, the fixtures are only viewable DEEP within the forums.
I won't be posting my score but you can quite happily remove IC from the RS:V 4Vs4 Tournament (4 Vs 4? WTF?). Another tip from me. Don't make tournaments open to anyone, there needs to be some sort of validation the clan is real etc. Also, don't make them for 32 people if you can't get 32 clans. Automatic by to the next round is a stupid rule, 24 or 16 man tournaments are much better and much easier to organise which seems to be something you need to practice in doing.

I would happily replay Tactical Warfare another time, not that they will want to after this rant I assume, in a proper 5Vs5 or 6Vs6 match, with proper rules. Also, starting at 8PM and not with the very tight dates which you have to play in without any previous warning that the fixture list has appeared.

I'm done now.

*Edit*
Maybe I wasn't quite done. I have no problem with the People in Tactical Warfare. They were sound guys, who played to win with the current rule set wihich was in place. My problem is mainly this tournament which is poor. Playing the first round just illustrated how Camping orientated the rule set is. It needs revising, or binning. If your going to have a camping rule set at least allow sodding GPS scanners. I want fun gaming. Not boring, retarded gaming.

Thanks for your feedback Booie.

The tournament emails have not been sent out as registration is currently still open due to the low number of teams registered. If you actually read the RB6 competition forum (its quite easy to find - MatchBox360 Online Events > RB6 4v4) then you would see that the game schedule has been extended (this is also reflected in the rules).

At the moment the fixtures are currently available in the forums only as until the other day, there were 11 teams receiving "byes", and as more teams have registered then they have been updated accordingly. Unfortunately the lack of teams means that teams would have to receive byes so everyone has fixtures in the later rounds...also FYI 24 teams doesnt work mathematically unless its a mini-league format.

Any bad organisation is on your part not myself or MatchBox360, as all the information is clearly available should you actually be bothered to make a few mouse clicks having registered to take part in this free to enter event. May be you should try reading the forums you registered on to find out the information before criticising the events organisation.

As for the rules...

Particularly in team survival, camping is part of the game and not against the rules. It is not cheating nor can it be considered unsporting conduct if one team has uneven teams and employs stealth tactics to draw or win the round.

GPS is unfair in this case as it means that the last man standing will have little or no chance. This also means that team can effectively see around corners and scout out the area ahead. These tactics can be considered an unfair advantage. If GPS is on you will see people in their spawn looking at the GPS map rather than actively seeking remaining players.

Teams can use all forms of tactics to win the game as RB6 Team Survival relies on good forward planning and a strategy...not just being a good shot. Hence camping as well as rushing have to be given the same merit.

If you don't like the strategy of your opponent or are finding it difficult to win against them, then their strategy is strong and you need to employ different tactics to overcome them (change your own plans accordingly). If you cannot find a player on the map then you need to learn the maps better and think of the hiding points or use buddy techniques on the radar to overcome this. Basically, if people are camping or hiding then play smarter and deal with it accordingly.

The rules and dates were clearly stated well in advance of any fixtures being played, so its a little bit late to be kicking up a fuss, and you had sufficient time to post any questions or suggestions before registering or playing your fixture.

edit: Another tip from me. Don't make tournaments open to anyone, there needs to be some sort of validation the clan is real etc.
I think you're correct that we should have a more stringent policy on who we allow to enter our tournaments in future. Your team would certainly would not pass your validation process as you have the sum total of 1 post between all your team members (see above for that post). May be we shouldnt allow members who obviously dont read or post on the forums to enter tournaments in the first place.

I am Matt Anderson TW team Captain. The score was 2 - 0 to TW.

I know there is dicussion as to the rules but really we signed up so we agreed to the rules. My team did not cheat or glitch. Our tactics worked a treat and we got the big W.

I did not realise you had a problem because you all seemed in great spirits throughout the match. We do not hold anything against yourselves or the tournament. We look forward to the rest of the tournament and wish to thank matchbox for giving us this tournament for free to particate in

FIXTURE NUMBER: 4
TEAM NAMES: On Point vs Team Monster A
WINNING TEAM: Team Monster A
RESULT: 2-3 [Casino Vault], 3-1 [Streets]

COMMENTS:
The actual games themselves were quite fun, although a bit too much camping on streets.

Organising the games was a bit more annoying. On Point only replied to us on Friday, we agreed to play tonight and it took them about an hour to get the match sorted with signing up an additional player. We had to go off at 8pm and agreed to all be back on at 9pm. Once we came back it took them another 30 mins to sign up another player and we played the second match til we had to go off.

In addition, they invited a friend in on both maps and it took a few minutes first time round for the player to get banned from the server.

Team Monster A has wasted a lot of time tonight and we have been ready to play the match with all our players for 2 weeks now.
