Call of Duty 4 still rules over Halo 3

Last week Call of Duty 4 took back top spot and this week it has kept it, suggesting order is restored in the Xbox Live Activity charts.

Halo 3 snatched top spot a month ago and it looked like the balance had finally tilted in its favour after Call of Duty 4 had reigned for months upon end.

However, now Call of Duty 4 has held the top spot for consecutive weeks, it looks like its grip on the leaderboards is firm yet again.

The Force Unleashed demo manages to climb all the way up to fourth place while Madden NFL 09 and Sou... sorry, SOULCALIBUR IV shake up the rest of the chart positions.

thats why halo 3 is swamped with them, most people i talk to no longer play halo becuase its full of little pricks

The only thing with Halo 3 is, you get alot of glitchers and, no offence to them whatsoever, americans who manage to jump across a room and slash your head clean off in swift swoop and sponge up alot of bullets.
Thats only because of the difference of English and American connections though!


Call of Duty 4 will always be a better game than Halo 3 because of the sheer realistic gameplay. Halo 3 is a complete let down online in my opinion, I didnt play it long before I took it back lol.

hmm, only one map pack i've seen which is just lazy work with 800 points, (so far still costs), and everytime i look on the xbox live cod4 matchmaking population it's half the amount when i check halo 3's.
and the amount of rubbish montages filling up on youtube.

and cod4 looks shrunk on game mode content just matchmaking with party and private match with around 7 gamemodes (or 6).
Halo 3 has more, forge, matchmaking (decent MM update coming september) theater, and 9 game modes for MM and custom games.

tell me more about what good is cod4 at than halo 3.

COD may be more 'realistic', but that doesn't make it a better game.. I wasn't saying which game was better. Merely that COD is a lot easier (within matchmaking) to make yourself think you're good. I would play matchmaking and get 30-40 kill every game, and it felt like everyone was awful. It gives people a delusion into thinking they're amazing at this game, because it's so easy. Then if they actually played it properly, they'd get their asses handed to them. Whereas, Halo, if you're ****, you'll lose, full stop.

ffs cod4 isnt realsitic. im sorry but who ever tihnks it is shoudl be slapped. if you wanna play a realistic game play any of the ghost recon's, although battlefield BC is more arcade-y in a sense the sniping on it is a lot more realistic than cod's, youve gotta adjsut your shot for distance and movement. halo isnt trying to be realsitic and shouldnt be judged so. IMO halo is a more enjoyable multiplayer experience, its probably one of few games where you can laugh if you get murdered, its just that in MM its full of kids :(

Skill? heh yeah you bet.
I have'nt seen a single user movie or a scene of xleague or XL showing any skill needed to play.
Even my younger brother could still put up a fight on that game, hell anyone could.

all i can say about halo is every game type is team death match with an objective thrown in the middle. i bet you any money halo players say cod4 players are just campers and have no skill but so what if we are at least we dont jump around a map like a rabbit's on crack throwing easter eggs everywhere.

also why is everyone going on about weapons not been balanced in cod4 each weapon suits a certain game style there not unbalanced as people keep saying its all to do with the person using them and there connections.

As a self confessed Halo fan boy i feel i must reply to your points that you raised...

I first like to state having played and watched COD4 and Halo3 in both team and FFA i can put my hand on my heart and say both games require above average skill to be good at.

I have since Halo 2 used a keyboard and mouse to play it on the 360 (via a converter) and i very much enjoy using it. the reason i dont use a controller for Halo is simple because i suck at it. Halo requires you to not only have a deep knowledge on everything on the map (ledges,jump points, weapons, re-spawns) you also have to be able to move around the map while aiming and killing.

Halo by far out of any game around that ive seen and play can really produce players that are on another level of skill when it comes to gaming. COD4 on the other hand i can easily pick up with a controller and do quite well in. That to me says it all as on halo i cant even beat noobs when on a controller.

Didn't say it was worse, there both 2 of the best games on the 360 i think at the moment. But being easier to control makes the skill level involved a lot less than what it takes to be good at Halo which was my point.

Cod4 feels like a real fps enviorment, halo's full of jumping round noobs, hold rt, pressing A alot!!!

Sorry halo 1p was nice to play and see the end of the story, online not fun for me. Cod4 good 1p. online bar from rescent lag issuses still holds my attention.

COd4 is the worst for jumping n00bs, lets see, lets give perks such as increased health, drop a frag when you die, bullshit weapon balance eg: i shoot a guy in the body with a sniper rifle round, he turns and kills me with an automatic weapon and kills me, i dont see how that can be a real enviroment

halo had an alright 1p, MP is all where its at. COD4's 1P sucked, MP is good for what it offers

you want a real FPS game, go play CSS on the pc, no bullshit, no imbalanced weapons, true skill wins, and never boring to watch

Spindryer, I ment no offence. Its just I play halo, CSS, Cod4 and halo for me isnt the best.
