The IIYAMA Call of Duty 4 5v5 Final fixture must be played & results reported by Sunday 14th September.

You are to play a best of 5 map series as specified in the IIYAMA Call of Duty 4 5v5 Rules (http://community.matchbox360.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6607).

The WB Final fixture is as follows:

TI | The Imperial vs Dignitas

Please note: if Dignitas win the best of 5 map series then the game will extend to best of 11.

Please arrange your fixtures stating your chosen maps in the following format:

TEAM CAPTAIN:
EMAIL or MSN:
FIXTURE VS: (State team you are playing)
MAP1: (non-host team to choose maps)
MAP2:
MAP3: (if applicable)

Please post your IIYAMA Call of Duty 4 5v5 WB Final Result using the following format:

COMMENTS:

Please note:
The winning team play the winner of the Console Lounge tournament in the Grand Final.
The losing team will play the runners-up of the Console Lounge tournament to determine 3rd place.

We would appreciate it if all teams concerned play with good sportsmanship and refrain from the use of any glitches or cheats. Should you believe the opposition has cheated in anyway, then you must supply clear evidence so MatchBox360 admin can take the appropriate action.

Any team found fielding non-registered players is in breach of the MatchBox360 rules and will subsequently be disqualified. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure opponents only play with fully registered team mates. As such, please supply evidence (screen shot or game links) to prove any use of illegal players.

does this mean whoever we play we only have to win what.. 2-3 maps? and they have to win 5-6?.. lol xD

btw, i take it the date is going to be resched as we would like atleast 3 days notice who were playing lol.. the other teams have had weeks.

It means that if you win 3 out the first 5 maps then you win. If you lose the best of 5 series then it extends to best of 11, so it will be first team to 6 maps.

Also the date will now be rescheduled once the LB final has been replayed.

acelazer told me as sqr split up that we do not need to play this match as they didnt turn up or even have a team at the time of the fixture, 2 weeks later they make some recruits they cant expect to play the match, acelazer already told us and tcs that were in the final

I have spoken to Austin (Acelazer) today and he confirmed what Rumsey said.

If you had a team then the fixture should have been arranged and played. Why wasnt it?
If you didnt have a team and have recently recruited more players then it is a default loss.

Please advise asap so this can be sorted.

I knew the fixture between Genetix and Dignitas was still to be played, but because the website went down i wasn't aware of who won the fixture or if the tournament was continueing. I guess it's the fault of both teams for not contacting each other, as i could have tried to found out who won, and the winners could have also contacted us.
If you didnt have a team and have recently recruited more players then it is a default loss.
There was a period of about 3 or 4 days were we would not have had enough players to play, however, 2 of the players we have recruited would be eligble as transfer as they have not yet played for another team in the tournament.

Just to make it clear to both TCS and dignitas...if the game is played tonight then this will be the MB360 final only not the Championship final to determine the overall winner. The issue with SqR needs to be resolved before the CL side can be drawn to a conclusion.

In addition...

As both teams have not played each other in this tournament, then standard double elimination final rules apply:

If TCS win the best of 5 game series, then that is the result.
If dignitas win the best of 5 game series, then it extends to best of 11.

i dont get this, so if we win 3-2 do we play a whole new match with first to 3 or do we continue and have to win 3 more with tcs only needing 1 more? cause if so surely it would be better if we had actually lost to tcs like 3-2 or 3-1. because in theory we have a 3-0 deficit or am i wrong?

Please note: dignitas must play their COD4 4v4 game vs ICE CLAN UK at 8pm Monday so please ensure you arrange fixtures from the IIYAMA 5v5 around this otherwise you will receive default loss for that tournament (ie the 4v4 is priority).

@ TCS - the agreed time was 9pm not 8pm for the 5v5. Obviously they 4v4 game was scheduled for 8pm and had to be completed before playing this game. A little common sense in future please.

@ dignitas - this is your final warning for all your COD4 teams in this and current tournaments. There is no reason why you could not have played the 5v5 final after the 4v4 game had been completed. This is the final so I expect the game to be played, however if you do not show at the agreed time on any of your forthcoming fixtures then default wins will be awarded to your opponents.

The final is to be rescheduled so get the game arranged and played asap.
