Please use this thread to arrange your MatchBox360 FIFA08: World Cup Knockout Stage fixtures and report results accordingly.
You have until midnight FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST to play your fixture.

You are to play your opponent twice as part of any one fixture alternating host accordingly.
The host will set up the game and play as the home team.

The fixtures are as follows:

It was a tough draw, knew that from the start, same guy who beat me in the semi's last time. God knows why we're meeting so early, perhaps some seeds should come into play next time. Lost due to a lack of knowledge of Fifa really, and it's a little too late for me to be taking it semi seriously. I don't even know how I didn't score a goal, I was very unfortunate there, I should have at least had a few. Voltz' defence was solid, with two defensive mids it was almost impossible to pass, then when I did pass, I was so unlucky not to get some goals. Countless things that didn't go my way was a bit annoying, but the better player won in honesty. Everything seemed to be flowing well for him, and he took advantage of that.

Going to start putting in some serious practice, after seeing how Fifa is really played. I thought it was a lot more about passing on Fifa, whereas on PES you can get away with running a lot with individuals, Voltz proved me wrong, how he runs with a one army with such success is beyond me, the lad is a beast. Although like I said, a little late. Will make my move on Fifa 09 I think, hopefully can go out with a bang in the Xleague tournament. Was different winning 10 - 2 in the xleague tournament, then playing this one and it flipping around.

Gone slightly off the point, but yeah, good games. Good luck with the rest of your games. I feel that we should have met at most in the Quarter Finals tbh. Although he won 8-0, I don't think 10 - 0 represents the game too well (although he did **** me). The first game was really close, he got through well twice, and got some nice in box manouvers to get the goals. The second game again he got two/three goals, and I knew it was over. I'm not one of these people to say I gave up, I didn't, but I can't say I had very much will to play. :p One of his goals was ridiculous, in both ways.. freekick, bounced off the post, hit my keeper and went in. Was good to watch that replay a few times!

Gaskin - you're not a highly seeded player since you haven't made a final - whereas Sensation has won tournaments here before - but have a look at the fixtures - everyone has got a hard game. All the players left are quality players and nobody has what I would consider an easy game.

I made the Semi finals, last time, and had to play Voltz. Suppose I should have put more effort in to my group stage if I wanted an easier match. Ah well, **** happens.. "On PES ye?". YES I CAN FINALLY SAY IT.

That's it mate - although I know you're quality (on PES and FIFA), you've played in one event previously to this. Even though I know you're a good player, statistically you haven't got enough of a FIFA record to be seeded near the top as we have to disregard your PES results.

I know Voltz is a quality player - like you said, had you won your group you wouldn't have been playing him and would have avoided him until the QF at least. As you said, sh*t happens - plenty more FIFA events in future!

That's no reason to quit out of the game, this isn't XLeague or any other tournament where quitting out is acceptable. Whether we are in the same clan or not doesn't matter, the integrity of the tournaments I run isn't going to be compromised.

Please see this as an official Matchbox 360 warning for quitting out of tournament fixtures. This warning will carry into the next tournament you play in, and another mark against you will result in your removal from that tournament and may jeopardize your involvement in future Matchbox 360 tournaments - including XL.
