Warranty

Hello all.

After chatting to our friends across the pond, they tell me that Microsoft are extending the standard warranty to 2 years due to all the problems they've had.

Can anyone confirm this? Will it apply to UK?

As a sufferer ( on 3rd box:mad: ) i hope this is true!!

ooh, bad luck dude.

i think this may have something to do with a group action lawsuit that was being brought on behalf of the 1% of users whose 360's "bricked up" after the last dashboard update - m$ were charging people to have them repaired!

sorry, but i don't know if the warranty is being extended in europe, but i suspect not as we don't have the "litigation culture" that exists in the US

although, apparently, EU law states that the warranty should be 2 years anyway, no matter what m$ say....

i beleive. that if you had an original 360 from release. they gave you an extend warranty on it for two years

That was the impression i was under...having had the experience of 4 failures it would be nice to get it. In September i ended up buying a core as backup for when it fails again!:(
