Well, well, well, what have we here? Looks like we're finally getting some real evidence that Microsoft really does have some sort of response to Nintendo's Miis on the way. It's been rumored for some time now and the above shot of the linked flash page seems to portend the end of the rumors. Giving the rumor more credibility is that the information contained in the image, supposedly taken from an online survey, conforms to details recently given to Joystiq by a trusted source. These "Xbox Avatars" certainly look to do everything that Miis do and more.

Taking into account that Microsoft doesn't seem too troubled by the rest of the year, this, along with the rumored "Newton" controller, could possibly be what they're betting the farm on.

Hmm ... E3 should sure be interesting this year ...

I quite like the idea of this, and if it will be intergrated into games even better. Of course we have to wait till E3 to know if this is true or not

im guessing the 20gig premium is going

This has been an on and off subject for a few months now, Microsoft are really thinking of getting rid of the poor 20gig premium. but the reason it is been debated is due to the fact there are a high number of users who buy the premium if they am not well into gaming/first console/cheap replacement to there Xbox 1 or PS2 :)

Avatar - Replacing gamer picture

I wondered how long it would be before i got asked to give you some info on the above, unfortunately at this moment in time and i have argued on the community's behalf, i cannot release any information as to regards to the avatar. yes it has been rumored for a while and some people on Forum Boards tend to exaggerate.

But can i a sure you, I have asked for me to be updated instantly on any changes to the project and when i am allowed to announce information i will do straight away.

They never said i cannot give hints:

- No Dashboard update in the summer ;)

See if you can work it out.. =]

All i can say is if you go to E3 go go go i will be there and its going to be very very interesting i a sure you. also wait for the dashboard update in a few months :D maybe people will start to actually like features added during the updates.

If there is an XL event near E3 i will what i can do have a chat with Kon nearer the time and see if i can get some Microsoft boys down to XL to give you guys a presentation ;)

Regards

PS3: Sixaxis control, trophies, fun little micropurchase games
360: Avatars, original Xbox games for download, rumoured wiimote-thing, HDMI
Wii: Fun little micropurchase games, integrated browser

Make your own ****, you filthy dirty corporations.

Yeah i remember back in the day all the consoles had their unique stuff, and the games were far less multi-platform. It was much easier and justifiable to to buy different consoles but now it takes more persuasion with yourself to justify buying another console becuase most games are multi-platform and features aren't as unique. Which is annoying when theres only a few yet important reasons why you want another consoles.

My brother has a 360, but i wanted to play MGS4. If it wasn't for the new Dualshock 3 i wouldn't have bothered.

p.s sixaxis is a joke, but Dualshock 3 is it

and the games were far less multi-platform

They also cost about a millionth of what they do nowadays. Multi-platform is, more often than not, essential. It's that or watch important developers die out.
