Midway has revealed that Unreal Tournament 3 will be released in the second half of 2007 for PC and Xbox 360 - PS3 version in 2008.

Despite appearing for some considerable time as a console exclusive on the PlayStation 3, it now looks as though the Xbox 360 will get the game first.

According to new information released today from Midway, Unreal Tournament 3 (formerly Unreal Tournament 2007) will be released in the second half of 2007 for PC and Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until 2008.

A midway rep has confirmed to Pro-G that this is not a mistake and is the latest information they have on the game's release.

Should Unreal Tournament 3 end up as a timed console exclusive on the Xbox 360, it would be great boost in its efforts to maintain and extend its lead in the next-gen console market.

Should be good, I think unreal along with halo 3 will really make people think twice about buying a PS3 rather than a 360 :D

Although PS2 had millions of games a lot of them were just stupid (eg Crazy Frog Racer, If you bought that you need your head testing) Does anyone think the same thing will happen to PS3?

Also I didn't really notice any stupid games being released for xbox, can anyone else think of any? :eek: :eek: :eek:

There were more than enough crap games for the Xbox.

The point is that UT3 was a supposed exclusive for the PS3 for a long time, and now it has gone multiplatform [as those in the know guessed] but now it's coming out on 360 BEFORE the original platform.

Sony really is getting slapped by peoples nobs in every direction.

Look at the Wii and all the cashins! look at all these brain training games on the DS? any successful console will have leechers. Xbox had plenty of naff games which is why me and my cash like to do some research before I buy.

Ps3's caught in a very tight loop and I don't know how they can escape. People are saying don't give them exclusives until they sell enough systems to actually make their game profitable and yet people will not buy many a ps3 without exclusives.

It's going to get a lot worse for Sony before it gets better and I think it's time to start predicting the PS3 bombing this year, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, what exclusives (apart from gran turismo) do they have that are any good? All the ones they used to have (eg unreal and GTA) are now also on xbox :eek:

Well it was all a load of rubbish, the rumour has been debunked and was taken out of context.
