I hope UT3 will take off competitively on the 360 with the support of lots of teams..on the PS3 it just hasnt managed to do so :/

I love UT3 on the PS3. With a keybpard and mouse, it's fast enough to rip your eyes out from your socket (especially when playing on a 42" TV).

The options for different tournaments you can do for this game would be immense.

1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 mixing in CTF and TDM. Games gonna be beast.

Depending on demand and how popular the online tournaments go, is there any chance of a UT3 tournament at XL in the future?

1v1 Deathmatch or a 4v4 CTF would be immense on LAN.

Yes there is a chance of it appearing at XL...if its released soon then theres a chance that it may be featured as freeplay at XL in July.

gd stuff...most sites say start of july release date so it will be nice as a freeplay, possibly even an FFA?

i really think this could work competitivley as it requires more skill than COD in regards to aiming so will distinguish the players better.

I was watching an interview with one of the guys who made the game. They said how they made this game to try and get people off Halo 3 + CoD 4 so it'll probably be a very competitive game. I know the other Unreal games have been.

TBH we havent really heard much about this game have we for something as big as the others youd think they would've hyped it up a lil bit more kind of like what they are doing with gears 2

This will be a good thing as they havn't hyped it up so people aren't expecting much so when they get more than they expected it'll be good. There is gameplay videos of the 360 version around and i can say it looks cool although a lot of the weapons look familiar.

Halo 3 got hyped up and some/many thought it was a let down. As in its a great game but a lot of people thought it would've been better so left it.

Not just aim either, even if they do slap on auto aim, which I'm sure they will put some on it just depends how they do it.

The thing with any deuling game is it involves so much smarts, its not just a game where whoever has the best shot wins. Its all about timings of weapon spawns and out smarting players if your a frag down and dont have map control, how to get it back and stuff like that. Defensive playing on UT is just as important as when your fully stacked and attacking like crazy.

I cant wait for 1v1's on this game. CTF should be mad too, lots of skill and teamwork involved there. The game should have everything so long as they dont screw it up.

good post^ mine was a general idea of it lol as on COD the aiming is dumbed down alot.
anyway i really hope the 'big' teams like yourselves and dignitas pick this up, usualy other teams follow suit. we had some really good UT3 players on PS3 version but there wasnt any competition bar a clan or 2 so we never went onto it properly apart from singles tourneys and such, so i guess having the competitive side blossom on the 360 would be good.

plus, you know you cant wait to see a headshot and have the 'HEADSHOT' announcement on the big screen :p

been playing it for about an hour, its the most intense and fun time ive had in so long, and that was just a 16 player bot match, i really do hope this gets picked up as an online and even a lan game for XL.
