Please use this thread to arrange your MatchBox360 FIFA08: UEFA Euro 2008 Group D fixtures and reports results accordingly.
You have until midnight SUNDAY 22nd June to play all group fixtures.

You are to play each player in your group twice as part of any one fixture alternating host accordingly.
The host will set up the game and play as the home team.

The GROUP D players are as follows:

The FIFA08 built in leagues are unreliable, often losing goals or results, and also don't cater for two leg aggregate scores (which we have to do for host reasons). If a player disconnects by accident, the league is unrecoverable whereas usually the teams will play an additional bit of time to make up for what was lost.

They also don't help if one of the players decides not to show up. If we run everything via the forum it makes deciding any default wins and difficult situations much easier.

It was a gift the goal where you called your keeper out and left the defender but Ibra got there first but thats football. I didn't think I was using Ibra that much. I never just gave it him and took everyone on. He scored all but one of my goals but they were easy goals that most would score. Not just because he is Ibrahimovic. And I only tackeld you as last man once and got one card for it but you did it everytime Ibrahomovic was through. Thats why you had 9 men at the end. Not a good player? :O I am offended. From the results between the three if Spain beat you and I beat Spain, it will be three points per team (assuming Tomacro beats Spain). So then it goes on the goal difference of matches played between the three teams. You're on +3, I'm on -3. If Spain beat you by three, and I beat Spain by five, my GD from the games between the three is +2, yours is +1, Spain's is -3. Greece go through.

Yeah. I know goal difference doesn't give the final say so. It is the score between the two teams in question. If spain win and you beat russia. The final games we will all be on 3 points. Brilliant fun - was 3-1 up in the first game then Corkin remembered he had Torres! Casillas had possibly the best games of his entire life, making 10 or 11 absolute wonder saves, and Greece hit the bar. First game Spain got a penalty that wasn't, so technically I drew :p

Having checked the tables. As you would all have three points from the games against eachother, it would go down to goal difference from the games between the three of you. If still tied, it goes down to goals for. Tomacro has a GD of +18 from his games against Viruzz and P4P, Viruzzz has +1 from his game against Toma, and P4P has -19 from his game against Toma.

It's bloody complicated, but for P4P to go through without going on goals for he needs to beat Spain by 11 goals. If I've worked this out right. And, if I'm right, Toma is through anyway.

Well you should have though of that.

If you know anything about football you will know that however the group is being decided, there is always a possibility, if all other deciding factors are even, goal difference will be used.

Goal difference is not the first factor, results against other people are but you, the self proclaimed best player, did not win all of your games and so have tied with other players in your group on points. Since results against cannot be used as you have all beaten each other (imagine three people playing rock paper scissors, you go rock and the other two go paper and scissors respectively) goal difference is the only other logical way to resolve the group. Maybe you shouldn't be an idiot and ruin other peoples gaming experiences by scoring own goals, I almost have a mind to remove you from the competition just for that so count yourself lucky and get on with your further games. Not everything is simply about winning you know.
