Well its about time :p:D

Should be an interesting tourney, lots of good teams around at the moment. May i suggest having XL weapon restrictions otherwise its just going to be a p90/ ak74-u silenced rush fest. Also i know its hard to enforce but a sporting agreement could be made to use iron sights on the m16 as practise for XL instead of red dot whoring.

Personally i couldnt care less if ppl wanna bun p90 jugger or whatever but there should definately be no C4, no 3xFrag, No Claymores and no Air support... cba with certain teams that get scrubby kills with the above, let the best shots win.

Let the best shot win, that has to be the funniest post I have ever heard. COD4 requires 0% skill to kill anyone which is why it is so popular. There is no way this game showcases the skills of anyone with a great shot as it is so noob friendly. It has to be the easiest of all the COD games to master, which is why so many of you scrubs love it so much.

Very true, that's why COD3 was seen as a flop as few people were actually "good" at it, as aiming took much more skill than COD2 and COD4.

COD3 was **** coz of vehicles and generally how the game was made. Nothing to do with the aiming.

Since u think COD4 is an easy game to aim on why dont u name one thats harder?? And im talking about popular competitve games here.
They all seem pretty easy to if u ask me, the only reason i find COD4 easier at times is because it generaly suffers from less lag issues compared to other games (GoW, H3, R6V2)

oh and btw maybe u should try taking steady aim and red dot off (lan class's=more skill) ;)

If CoD4 takes absolutely no skill lets see how far your team get in the online tourney, considering its even less skillful than LAN as you get to whore you're little red dot.

Im not saying that it takes masses amounts of skill to shoot someone, because it certainly doesnt, unless with iron sights which take a bit of practise. The skill comes in teamwork, communication and mainly strats. From what i can tell Halo doesnt have strats save for cluster **** round the rocket launcher / sword when it spawns.

No, quite the opposite, I prefer 1 shot 1 kill. Not just spraying through walls until someone dies.

Only vegas is one shot one kill, and one shot one kill usually = camp fest. And have u read the rules for this tournmy its no perks meaning no deap impact so i dont really know what u mean by spraying walls. If anything one shot one kill is more likely to incourage spraying since u dont need to be that accurate to kill ur enemy.

Like i said only game i can think of as one shot one kill is vegas but if u are on about that then that game has bullet penentration so ur completely contradicting urself about the spraying.

And yes i know im ignoring what Kon has posted but im sorry im not very good at dropping things :D

Double elimination: winners bracket and losers bracket.
Lose a game then you drop to losers bracket...lose again and you're out.

@ Reconz - all online tournaments rely on players to conduct themselves correctly and with good sportsmanship. We do advise players to provide evidence in case of cheating as its the only way to prove it. We cant provide referees for every match as it would take 12 mths to do a tournament!

@ steveee - we'll try n keep it as close to XL rules as possible but we for online we need rules that are easily enforceable. Obviously perks are banned but weapons restrictions arent so important as at LAN as there are plenty of weapons available to counter P90 online.

ofcourse you can allow P90, but most of us just don't wanna play against P90 and then its better to bann them if it profides the best matches.

Like I said, its all about what is realistically enforceable online. Obviously proving use of P90 is the same as certain perks and grenade launcher so we will take this into consideration.

u cant banned a p90 now that people are used to using and playin against them but there are no perks so people cant use juggernube lol

o and my i ask is there only 32 teams aloud in and what happens to the teams that applied late r clan is only new to tournys but dont underetimate us

I dont think there are 32 teams just yet. Dont forget there is the dual registration with Console Lounge as well.

Just checked...theres actually 37 teams and still a week for registration. As such, the MB360 tournie will be increased to a 64 team bracket :cool:

This is MatchBox360 not GB...we set the standard for competitive tournaments in Europe. If you wanna play like a n00b with perks or crap gametypes like Domination then you're welcome to play for some headphones on other websites.

BTW we like to cater for all gamers, so we will be doing tournaments with n00b settings for ppl who like Domination or perks on in the future ;)

is overkill allowed? because even with perks set to off you can still use it. Maybe you could have a default for perk 2 like bomb squad is for perk 1.

Maximum players per squad is 9 as you are allowed 4 subs as per last tournament. Dignitas have not received special treatment.

If you have 10 players I would advise may making 2 teams?

Only 6 teams qualified for seeding. The 2nd Dignitas team were randomised into fixtures like all other non-seeded teams and it just so happened that they got a bye. Again, Dignitas have not received special treatment.

Additional perk restrictions have been added to slots 2 and 3. Unfortunately I was unable to test as I have just gone through prestige again, however this should prevent any problems.
