The blob bit was probably the bit I thought was least true.

I definitely agree with him about the friends stuff, it was a bit annoying. I'm surprised he didn't sort of pick up on some amazing missions.

And it showed again that his reviews are never that great when he actually likes the game.

The comment about the fanboys in the credits was brillant and quite true though!

As always from them spot on, car handling for me has been the biggest let down.

Brilliant and very funny - I hate the new police method and the friends thing is stupidly annoying.

The Smash Bros. Brawl one is particularly awesome:

As much as I enjoyed Smash Bros, I only own the first one - and the video is everything I hated about it - even though I loved it.

Finally someone else who criticises the game and isn't in some dream world thinking this game is actually good.

If it gets an award for best game of 2008 then what the chuff has the game's industry come to. The biggest disappointment and over hyped pile of shite award would be more suitable.

Just remembered Gears 2 comes out this year, thank god something that will definitely knock some sense into any twallops who think GTA is the "game of the year" already.

GTA4 is absolutely immense, I genuinely love it - but there are some stupid things about it and some frankly disturbing omissions. The video points out these problems and still goes on to say it's a good game and he will be playing it as soon as the review is done.

No he isn't - but this is the very first time I've seen his stuff and it's excellent! His mailbag reviews remind me of Bungie's 'Whaambulance' and it's just good fun. Even if you love the game he is slagging off, it's still funny.

I liked and agreed to this review, the only up with the friends was being able to buy weapons from little jacob at a lower price, and car handling was rubbish. worst yet was the multiplayer i don't think it suited right.

and my favourate reviews from yahtzee was halo 3, MOH Airborne, COD 4 and super smash brawl, including the mailbag of the spam he got from the super smash brawl fanboys.

*edit* i forgot to add another bad point for gta4 was the extreme hospital bills for dieing in the game, sometimes its 200 dollars then its 6k, even goes for calling 911 and calling for a ambulance for repairing health. i don't know why this happens.

Completely agree. I pay $10,000 every time I die. It's pathetic.

It's not like you need the money...

Well I don't think America has a National Health Service, does it?

Even it if did/does, you play as an immigrant who probably doesn't pay taxes and therefore doesn't deserve free healthcare!

Also, remember they are bringing you back from the dead! That isn't easy, you know.

I would definitely pay 10k to be brought back from the dead IRL!

Edit: And they wash the bloodstains out of your clothes for you.
And somehow convince the authorities to forget about the murderous rampage you were (usually) on when you died...

Question, whether the price will be that low for bringing you back. ;)

Well, he's banking on his opinion to be some sort of argument exempt from notions like 'logic', 'reasoning' et cetera, which fulfills part of the 'rise fast and fall hard' routine coincidentally. To say that Brawl can be a button basher is correct: in the hands of an idiot, any game is turned into a button basher. To contradict this notion, all he had to do was crank up the difficulty on the AI (never mind, researching the Brawl competitive community). And I don't think that a drunken session with your friends is a good basis to review a substantial part of a game on (if he even did that).

So, now that that establishes his opinion and critique as worthless as the bandwidth I wasted to post this, it all comes down to whether he's entertaining or not. I don't think bandying pejorative words about a script with zero witty punchlines is funny, and anyone who is counter-culture is a retard by definition. Production values are second-to-none, though.

I'm starting to. I was on about 600K when I finished the story. At 95%, I'm on 120K. It coss me about $50,000+ to get busted as well (buying weapons), although that's only ever happened 3 times.

Neo - I think it's great. It's even funnier when he's slagging off games I loved (BioShock) because it makes me think 'oh yeah, never noticed that'.

Dinny - I've never been busted, and only died about 6 times at the moment, on 84%. I died four times trying to get the bloody countering achievement... I only ever use the assault rifle so don't find weapons to be a problem - most of the enemies use them. Rocket launchers are meh - I sort of got bored of explosions after Crackdown.

Theres not much way to earn money on the game other than just missions? or the jobs of friends with only 10. like taxi passengers or drug deliveries.

You can carry on doing as many street races as you want ;)

But you get paid so little for the street racing and drug missions its kinda pointless.

I've only been busted once - I couldn't reload my game either because I had just got about 30 pigeons. I hate getting a wanted star 90% of the time i kill a pigeon, really gets boring.
