Despite previous requests for XL gamers to behave and conduct themselves at their choice of hotel, it is with regret that I have to inform you all that I have today received notification from the Innkeepers Sheldon that they will no longer be accepting bookings from anyone found to be attending XL.

The unacceptable behaviour includes complete disregard for hotel staff, hotel rules and other guests staying at the hotel. Obviously a lot of people attending XL have stayed in the Innkeepers Sheldon, however due to a number of inconsiderate people repeatedly behaving in an unacceptable manner, the consequences now affect everyone attending XL and wishing to stay in the Innkeepers Sheldon.

Further to what has been described as "disgraceful and unacceptable behaviour", the Innkeepers Sheldon received numerous complaints from other guests staying at the hotel and had to offer refunds in order to compensate other guests who were abused, offended and had their stay disrupted by XL gamers.

As a direct consequence, the management at Innkeepers Sheldon have made it clear that anyone booking at the hotel (including online) and found to be attending XL will have their admission to the hotel refused and requested to seek alternative accommodation.

Obviously the behaviour and actions of gamers after they leave the XL venue is beyond our control, however if behaviour like this is repeated then it could affect the future of XL. To prevent further bans being imposed at other hotels, I would like to appeal to everyone attending XL to adhere to hotel rules and show more consideration to others.

Please do not book at the Innkeepers Sheldon for future XL events as you will be refused admission to the hotel.

can personally reccomend the express by holiday inn at birmingham south (not the NEC one, our clan aint allowed back lol) as they were always helpful and accomodating. bout £16 a night in there if you share a room with 3 people, decent.

Now i am not joking, i went there for an evening to see the players and if i was staying there i would sleep up right in the **** infested toilet that is shared with 100 people. Not even joking the worst hotel ever, hotel nar.... more like a shed.

£72 for BsE Each in the F1! for 4 nights or summit... when he told me this i nearly fell over. Prem inn cost me £72 for 4 nights shared with 2 lads!. Go there.

The annoying thing about the Sheldon is that there are no rules with regards to the beer garden which was right next to our room and open until about 4am. The rooms do not have air con either so you've got no choice but to have your window open. I liked the Sheldon Innkeepers but that's how things go I guess. I hope the other innkeepers don't follow suit with this because it's by far the cheapest hotel.

I think i might just do that, although i didn't see any problems with other guests or people being loud/rude etc at night, maybe i was lucky or just a heavy sleeper :p. I did however see a big arguement between staff in the bar on saturday morning, ALOT of bad language infront of guests some of whom were little kids. Not a very good example.

Yh thats due to the fact...F1 doesnt have toilets in there rooms or showers..they have a sink 2 beds a broken tv and a window and bugs...with shared toilets and shower. its wort going to the hotels that cost more.

@ Diehard - thats about right tbh mate but which Premier Inn was that? Also worth trying the Travelodge. Between the 2 of you it should work out at about £30 per night each unless they've increased prices. Obviously the F1 is the cheapest and is about £12 per night each...but you pretty much get what you pay for.
