WARNING: IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE MISSION "THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE", THEN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T READ THIS
I'm now onto the 94th mission, also known as the last one in the story. I took the Deal option, after being persuaded against my instinct by Roman. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! The shootout outside (and inside) the old casino are a piece of piss, but getting under Little Jacob's chopper before running out of water is a joke. I've done it once out of 4 times. In one of my failures, Jacob actually blocked the boat by flying too low. The one time I DID manage to get into the Annihilator and chase Dimitri to Happiness Island, I was gunned down instantly by the cops, who were swarming the place. ****. THAT.
Anyone have any tips? :p

Who the **** came up with the ****ing idea of a ****ing jump on a ****ing bike right after doing all that other **** in this mission?
This mission really pisses me off. I hate longwinded missions.
On to attempt number 4...

LOL
massacre is correct. i killed demitri and the mission for killing the mob boss sounds the same as the one where your chasing demitiri, i hit the jump 1st time . just take your time, line up and throttle it, i dont know how ur missing the heli, its a cutscene ffs just hit the jump at speed.
i thought i had screwed up when he shot me with the rocket and i was on fire but it all turned out good in the end.

Yeah, I eventually decided to go back and take the Revenge option. The mission where you have to use the bike to jump into the chopper (to kill Pegorino) is much easier than the Dimitri version of events. For starters, Jacob doesn't get in the ****ing way. And you land on a small pier round the side of the Statue of Happiness, rather than right in the middle in full view of 9000 cops.
EDIT: Mazzy, I was missing the heli because I had to drive under it in a boat, but it was flying too low to actually ****ing get under.

I went the revenge option.
That jump on the bike where you presumeably jump to the chopper just pisses me off. I hate the bike handling in GTA IV, I hate it even more as it's all slidey on the beach. And you only have one chance and that's it.
I mean fair enough if you only have to do the shootout before, but no, you have to get to the car, then drive for ****ing ever, then the shootout.. It just takes so long.
Might give it another try in a bit.

Er, you do only have to do the shootout :p
Use the text message to replay the mission, and you won't have to do that bit where you follow the goons to the casino.

I did the replay/text and I had to do it again each time? That's after dying [jumping off the building isn't the way to go!] and missing the jump.

Looks like it.
Well, I'm hoping I'll finish it later so I can sell it tomorrow!
I've had a couple other glitches as well, especially on dates where I couldn't go anywhere and literally everything was shut even though by the time I had driven to places pretty much a whole day was gone.
And darts is messed up a little, I've had it boot me out in the middle of the game and randomly tell me I've won/lost.

If you die you have to start the mission again, but if you survive you can use the txt to get back to the shootout.

After taking revenge i found the mission kinda, dissapointing. I mean after jumping at the heli from a bike was kinda kool, and getting shot down and stuff was great.
but when you land, and pegorino is just running away like a lil biatch, i jus pulled out my carbine and mowed his arse down no problem, pegorino put up no fight in the entirety of the mission (apart from shooting the heli down) kinda weak, i would liked a one on one fistfight, or a shoootout under the statue, and it didn't deliver, then i randomly got given $300,000.
Is that how it works, i kill a powerfull mobster and his estate gets wired directly to my bank account?
WTF!!?

Someone just told me that Kate doesn't die in the 'deal' ending. Is that true?
I went revenge, Kate was killed at the wedding by Pellegrino and then I had to take him out.
What is the other ending?

I'll copy and paste what I PM'd to Bushmouse about the Deal ending.
If you take the deal, Niko and Bell go to the old boathouse to 'collect' some money from an office. They fight their way through, only to realise that Dimitri has sent one of his men to take the money as well. You Niko chases him down and kills him. Afterwards, Roman is ecstatic that you took the deal (worth $250,000), and tells you to hurry up to get to his wedding. Niko rings Kate, who isn't pleased at all. She refuses to go to the wedding.
During the celebrations outside the church, someone creeps up behind Niko and shoves a gun in his back, whispering "a gift, from Dimitri Raskolov". Niko uses special ninja skills to twist the hitman's arm towards his head, with bullets flying everywhere in the tussle. The hitman is killed by Niko, who turns to discover that Roman has been shot. Mallorie screams and cries over her new husband's corpse, and Niko turns back to the body of the hitman to lay about 10 more shots into his corpse. The scene fades out with both Mallorie and Niko grieving over the death of Roman.
The final mission is A Revenger's Tragedy. Niko follows Dimitri's men across Alderney to an old casino up north. You fight your way through a buttload of goons, and finally see Dimitri face-to-face once again. He has a gun pointed at Pegorino, who is begging for his life. Dimitri shoots him in the head, and runs up the stairs to the roof, where there is a chopper waiting. Niko makes a jump for the helicopter, and ends up dangling over the West River. Dimitri stamps on his hands, and he naturally falls into the drink. You quickly grab a nearby Squalo and chase the chopper down the West River. Little Jacob appears in a stolen police Annihilator, and flies above you. Niko jumps into the chopper and takes the controls. You are now weaving in and out of the skyscrapers of Algonquin, and eventually, both helicopters crash-land on Happiness Island. You chase Dimitri down and Niko finally kills him at the foot of the Statue of Happiness. Credits.

Awesome, thanks DinnyHoon. So effectively they're both bad endings.
Is there anything after the credits on both endings?

Heh. So if you take Kate's advice (revenge) she dies, and if you take Roman's advice (deal) he dies. Nice!
That final mission pretty much doubled my number of mission failures. It's ridiculous. (Not to mention the shitty control system, which screws it up for me more than half the time because Niko won't do what I want him to!) Couple of times I've got into the helicopter I just get shot down by the rockets. And the heli guns are piss poor. There is no point even trying to kill him with them, is there? Just follow him at a distance until he reaches Happiness Island, then kill him there.
One slip up (pretty common thanks to the motorbike handling on the coast and that weirdly-angled jump) and you've basically failed. They shouldn't have a situation like that so far into a mission. It's just no fun having to go through that long-winded car chase and string of three shootout sections beforehand, on every single attempt!
What also pisses me off is I was quick enough to shoot this guy and rocket his boat before he takes off, but he doesn't die because the games decides that's not how I'm supposed to do it!
And in my experience if you select the 'Retry' text message, you start just after the car chase part... however, you will have less health/armour and less weapons.

Yeah, the deal finale is the hardest in the game by far. Even the mission you do with Bell when you take the deal is harder than the Platypus shootout.
