Whats everyone's Favorite online game mode. I have to say, I have quite a soft spot for the old Cops n Crooks. Although i wish you could section the island.
Has anyone tried the co-op missions? I think they're brilliant you should try them :D

I've played the three(?) co-op missions and enjoyed all of them - I imagine this is where the exclusive content for the 360 is going to come.

Not sure on Deathmatch - the radar is such a stupid idea (can it be turned off?) and to me makes the gametype pretty lame.

Also had some weird network oddities - I got stuck in a loading screen and had to return to the dashboard and then the game after that my mate just never made it into the game and got booted :(

Promising so far, I imagine it would be a blast with lots of friends in the same lobby and no randoms.

Cops and Crooks is stupid as if you die early on you have an insane amount fo time to wait most of the time. The mafia ones are ok, team detahmatch is good and Moose without the radar how long would it realistically take to find people on some of the maps?

The one big downside is deathmatch is continually spawning right next to each other which just led to the same boring repetitive scene being played out.

Going to do some missions tonight and see what they are like.

Starting to enjoy the game a bit more now though.

Yeah i see what you're getting at but when I played it, it was pants. When you die, you spawn with a pistol. All it took to pretty much dominate the map was to grab the sniper and a rifle, get up high and just watch the radar - "Oh look, there he's spawned..." *BANG*" As you mention the spawns are pretty poor so the problem is just compounded. The solution I'd say is only show them on radar when you're within a certain range - not the whole map.

Oh yeah, also found an issue with Hangman's Moose which resulted in me and my partner in crime making our escape with no heat following us whatsoever - went from 5 stars to 0 just like that

Hangman's Moose, haha, I see what you did there. ;-D

My favourite mode is Free Mode. I prefer picking on unarmed, AI-controlled civilians, particularly the women, rather than real players who will shoot back at me. I like the co-op missions too.

My favourite mode is Free Mode.

I did enjoy finding a very tall building and then jumping off it - none of this halo cop-out where you go to a pre-determined animation. Freefall FTW!!

Bit gutted I couldn't walk up the Statue of Liberty - maybe the doors at the base will be opened up later?

You can land on it with a chopper and go inside it ;)

I hated deathmatch due to the radar - something like COD4 would be better, where they only show on radar when they shoot, or it has an indicator arrow to show the direction they are in rather than the exact location.

You can change the radar mode in all game types. You can put it so it only shows people beyond a certain distance so when you get close enough you're on your own trying to find them, you can also do the opposite and only show players when you get close enough. There are a number of different options for it. Try having a look!

I had heard when you crouched your blip disappeared on the radar but your gamertag was still visible to anyone looking at you but then if you crouched and took cover both your blip and gamertag were invisible to everyone but from what I've seen and tried that isn't the case. Deathmatch games definitely need some modification to the radar to balance it out though.

I discovered last night that Team Deathmatch, Team Mafyawork and Team Carjack City are all 2-8 teams so you can have up to 8 two man teams competing against each other. Riding shotgun FTW.

Wouldn't that make it really good playing a hunt down one man thing? Like 5 people all looking for this one other guy who can pretend to be a normal civilian. Or does it always show your gamertag so people will be too easy to find?

You just don't show up on the radar at distance, when you're on someones screen you will appear as normal with a blip and your gamertag above your head.

I liked the free mode, but it just seemed like.. let's kill each other. It might as well be deathmatch. I didn't like the Team Deathmatch, the whole firing system is poor imo, and the spawns mean that if you've got four teams, two teams are constantly battling each other on other sides of the city, you rarely see someone of the third or fourth team.

I never really understood how to change my character. Im still the gay guy you get as default. All i have played is free roam, but every time i ask people they say:

Its in the online menu. Can somebody re-direct me to it.

Ontopic: Free roam is awsome - but not for constantly killing people - i like the motorbike and doing backflips. Thats cool.

Yeah just going exploring in free mode and doing street races rules. I agree about the firing system. The whole control system when on foot seems kind of badly done. To change your multiplayer character just select Multiplayer from your mobile phone then select Player Model. I think you can unlock more variations by winning games.
