Gaskin is referring to sale of the monitors we own...which obviously we're not selling! If you'd like to purchase one of our old 28" TVs then I'd be more than happy to strike you a deal! ;)
As stated in the first post, XL will receive a small commission for units sold which will be reinvested into more monitors at XL.

You just need the Xbox 360 VGA cable and a phono to 3.5mm adaptor (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1218&C=Froogle&U=1218&T=Alias&MA=2%20Phono%20to%203.5mm%20Stereo%20Adaptor).
If you buy the official Xbox VGA cable, then you get the sound adaptor as well.

I'm confised, what exactly do you need, i already have the VGA cable, i dont think its the official one though, what do i need
On that Phono thingy what colours are the two at the back suppose to be? What does that allow you to do? will i get sound or is there something else i need to buy
Respond ASAP..
Any chance of someone taking a few pics and posted it to share with me?
KONSPIRACY

If you already have the VGA cable then you will see that it has 2 audio cables (red and white).
You just need a 3.5mm to phono (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1218&criteria=3.5mm%20to%20phone&doy=23m6) converter to plug into the audio socket of the monitor.
TI Potential

that converter, i have one which i found randomly in my house, does the back colours have to be red and white also or can they both be yellow, because mine are yellow
KONSPIRACY
23-06-2008, 05:05 PM
Post a picture of what you've got. Yellow is usually the video signal. Sounds like you've got the standard RBG/Scart cable not the VGA.
TI Potential
23-06-2008, 05:39 PM
The big VGA cable that goes into to the back of your xbox has two things on the other end, the VGA thingy and the red and white colours at the end, i then have that phono item which has two yellow holes at the end to plug 2 things into it, dont the colours have to match?

Monitors are HD. The type of display output HD or SD will not effect your play. Not all monitors are the same, your sister might have a 'bad' monitor with a high responce time like 10ms, that will effect your play. The XL monitor won't.
KONSPIRACY
30-06-2008, 01:20 AM
Correct. You dont have a choice to have SD or HD on a monitor with VGA...its HD like it or leave it. TBH if you prefer playing in SD then I suggest you move with the times and get used to HD gaming the way it should be played! ;)

If you ordered the 20" monitor and your saying its looks smaller at XL then it does in your Home. then i can agree with you.
The one i am useing now.. same as XL.. and looks bigger in my own house then it does at XL. i think it due to the fact that inyour own home your room aint as big so a 20" monitor looks huge but when your in a place such as Cranmore Park.. the screen looks tiny :P
But yh these are fantastic monitors.. and No we aint had one break at XL even through the hard work they do :)

All LCD monitors display in HD resolutions.
I've just been informed that iiyama have stopped producing the E2003WSV which we use at XL so if you want one of these then you best order quick.

I doubt it tbh. There may be stock left on other retail websites but highly unlikely they will have any left on Continental.
Obviously iiyama have a large range of monitors and we will have to look at a different monitor now for XL when adding more stations, but will continue to use the current E2003WSV for a long time to come.
