Despite some haggling, Sony adamantly refused to let us spoil the surprise and give you a sneak-peak at the game so you'll just have to believe us when we say it has the potential to blow your socks clean off your lower appendages.


So far, it's been revealed that MotorStorm 2 does away with the barren desert landscapes of the first game, replacing all that brown with lush vegetation in a tropical island setting. It features water hazards, destructible scenery and monster trucks.

I thought the first one was great and one of my favourite games on the PS3 which was only let down by load times. Should be interesting to see what this next one will look like after the first one achieved too!

Good to know they will be including a split screen mode, the last one lost a lot of its value due to this.

Woot! Let's hope for manipulatable terrain this time around (ie mud that gets muddier).

Haha, so there wasn't really any haggling involved, just a series of rejections.

If the final game looks anything like that trailer, colour me Motorstorm. That looks BRILLIANT. The tight main roads coupled with the many off-routes and shortcuts, as well as the destructable terrain (read: watch tower) look like they'd do very well in the game.

Anyone else notice the ol' nod to the first trailer, where the woman gets hit by the car at the end?

Yeah, noticed that one, bit of a disappointment that they only showed a target render, however the first one looked good still and they said they were more likely to get closer to the next target as the first was a uphill struggle to get used to the PS3 and get the game out.

Loving the setting and the inclusion on destructible objects, will be a definite purchase for me I think.

No just to find out when Wipeout HD is out so it can tide me over nicely!

my god that trailer looked ****ing sweet. And especially the pendulum song for background music. Makes me wanna get a ps3 even more.
