As the title says, play.com are now taking preorders for the PS3.

Hmm I'm thinking about getting one, but I don't want any of them games in that bundle, maybe Warhawk but I doubt it, suppose it will be good with the six-axis functionality of the PS3's controllers.

Saw this a while back and just laughed at the unbelieveable priceage. I know it's supposed to be "ten times better than the xbox 360" as I hear many ps fanboys say but really is it worth that much? I wouldnt spend that much on anything unless it was worthwhile like a first car (all-be-it a banger) or an investment i.e. savings account for uni.

1, you dont need the wireless adapter, you have the choice, wire > wireless anyday
2) you dont have to pay for live, you get silver for free, you pay for mulitplayer servers etc

Yes, but the PS3 gives you the option of wired/wireless anyhow, suppose someone bought a PS3 and had a wireless router, but didn't wanna spend extra on one long ass ethernet running up their stairs, ta daaaa, wireless! :P :)

Wireless > all, bloody pisses me off when wires like the Plug n Charge cable, or headset wire touches me lol

Quickshot where are these dedicated servers that so obviously do not exist on most games on xbox live!

Anyhow back on topic i am not bothered about a PS3 until the good games rollout which will be end of this year/start of next.

Don't forget if you are buying a PS3 and want to play in HD that you will have to purchase a component or HDMI cable, as it only comes with composite cables in the box. So that will probably add another

Plus Sony are forcing you to buy a Xbox 360. They must be with that price and the fact that the 360 has pretty much all of the launch titles. :p

Games on the 360 are rapidly boring me now, and that's with xbl! And there's not many games in the future for the 360 that hold my attention compared to the PS3.

This has been happening to me for a whole year, xbox live kept them alive slightly longer but essentially when i play them not i am sometimes just playing it for the sake of it. However like i just posted in the otehr thread there is going to be a mass of games for the 360 getting launched when the PS3 makes it debut here, so hopefully interest can be found again in a few of those titles!
