Yeh good to see 4 british clubs in the last 16 on the UEFA Cup, Rangers and bolton was the best results the night as they had the hardest clubs to play!

Everton played brilliant and a hat-trick for yakubu done the trick along with andy's peach

Everton were stunning, really good to watch and it's nice too see a true team spirit in full effect. Lovely stuff.

I have watched Everton and SpPurs play in the UEFA cup this season but did not see them yesterday. But the matches i have seen the football seems to be of a fairly poor standard with the games seeming to be slow. I don't know if it is because of the competition or what but i have often found the games boring. Anyone else noticed anything about the standard of football in the UEFA cup?

NOTE: This is from watching both Spurs and Everton matches and applies to both teams so please no abuse about me picking on Everton, its a general comment about the standard of UEFA cup football.

Generally i agree with you across all teams maybe cause your playing different clubs from different countries you tend to slow it down unlike playing a club like Spurs vs everton that you know will go all out war and attack and seem quicker. Also this may mean more to them than winning a Uefa Cup as it means there qualification

But Spurs and Everton seem to play a slower tempo football but seem to play better and be more effective when they play fast tempo football like they do in the Premiership every week.
