I got my ass spanked in the first round of the FFA, fair doose, and i'm going to XL as well and will probably get my ass spanked there lol, i know i'm not that bad to loose that badly, i just think that strike way favours the m16 too much and i use the G36C, never mind hey, good game guys.

Yaaaa you see using the G36C is your problem there

Good player with M16 > Good player with G36C on probably every map

There were several players using P90s, MP5s and Carbines in my group so quite a nice variety actually...I think I even got sniped a couple of times as well! lol :D

Well really any you could do beast with P90 but that means you'd have to change your style of play

I mean you can't play the same with say a P90 compared to a M16 on Strike.You change how you play on every map so that's another factor

Not that i agree with the situation, but with the current settings in the game, it's a case of use the m16 if you want a chance of going through, its halo and BRs all over again.

well the M16 is the most accurate of the assult riffles with strike you can sit in the buildings or close range area's of themap and get kills with a SMG or Full auto Assult it all depends on your playing style most players choose the M16 that compliments thre playing style best

Yep its all about your style of play and adapting to different weapons. I used M16 with silencer and found I was playing a lot differently to how I usually do with red dot and perks.

Yes it is about style, but strike caters for the mid range style of play, and gives people using subs quite a difficult job. From most spawns with an m16 you can safley move around, whereas say you spawn in a quite wide open area with say an mp5 then you will have to seek out these smaller more cramped areas, further more your limited to wait for enemies, instead of seeking them out like you can with an m16.

You could use a carbine as a compramise between mid/close range effectivness, but with more chance of finding an enemy at mid range than any other, m16s will beat you out.

Its irrelevent now because the template map has been chosen for the tourney, but my main point is, to keep up with the best guys in my group am restricted to an m16.

Just hope that the spring DLC give us a well rounded ffa map.

I think this was all covered in the FFA map thread tbh. We all knew what was going to happen and obviously the M16 is going to be even more effective when theres less than 8 players taking part. At the end of the day Strike is the most suitable map for FFA. Its all been said before and I honestly cant be arsed to repeat myself.

i dont know why strike is so often debated as an FFA map...i think its a good choice with players needing to think things through when they play.
