Mass Effect is one of the best games available on the 360. How you can say FIFA is better than it is... bizarre. It may have more longevity, but that's only because it has a multiplayer.

I can't stand mass effect but i cant stand RPG. Except ones that keep me interested like Final fantasy the only RPG that has ever kept me interested. All the others just seem to bore me after half an hour.

1) Badly placed autosaves. Right before the **** storm hits you have a long conversation. You’d think that the best place to put an autosave would be right after the convo and right before combat. But then apparently you wouldn’t work for Bioware, who thought that the best place for an autosave would be before the conversation. Because everyone wants to have the same conversation a thousand times.

2) Totally unstable sniper rifles. Bioware apparently thinks that all snipers are drunks, because the target reticule swerves wildly about, making the thing extraordinarily difficult to use. Which in turn, by the way, makes the infiltrator class a joke. You’d have been better off creating a “crying little girl” class. Should I go back and choose another class because I chose a bad one? Apparently it takes twelve hours of play time before you learn that. Gosh, I hope I pick the right class next time before I burn another twelve hours of my life repeating **** I’ve already done.

3) unskippable cut scenes. Enough with this ****, people. Every game that does this is roundly ridiculed. Learn your ****ing lesson already.

4) Allies whom you can arm, but who will change their weapon at their own, totally nonsensical scheme. Going into close combat? I gave you a pimped shotgun to use, but apparently the piece of **** pistol you’ve had since the start of the game is the gun you want to use. Glad I gave you that thing and told you to use it so you could ignore me and pick your shittiest piece of **** in the arsenal. Next time I’ll give you a lump of my **** to use in combat, at least you’ll manage to offend the enemy.

5 ) Repositioning after cut-scenes. Listen, when I’m in a room full of angry people with guns, I go find cover. Apparently though, cut-scenes are the time when Shepard walks out into the middle of the room and turns his back to the enemy. Why are you assholes disorienting me like that? I spent all my ****ing time fighting my way into cover and the first thing you do is rip me out of it and turn me around.

All of this makes me glad i didnt buy the game, but played / watched @ freinds

2. Of course not all classes can do all. Kind of basis of an RPG.

3. You can exit convos as for cutscenes I can't think of many. Definitely less than 10.

4. Never had that problem.

5. Actually it goes up to X, maybe more. And pressing X upgrades it with different ammo, feats which drastically changes the way agun works. And again it depends on your specialisation.

1. That's what the nice big 'Save' icon is for. You click it when you would like to save. A lot of long games (the entire Zelda series, Final Fantasy) don't have an auto save at all.

2. The Sniper becomes stable as a rock when you level it up, and when you buy the Spectre class Snipers. Any RPG starts off your weapon skill low, for you to build up. That's the point.

3. The cutscenes are short, although I agree that having them unskippable is annoying. Not enough to stop playing though.

4. You arm your allies with guns in their inventory, but they use the one that you equipped them with - press LB to bring up a squad list and they will not deviate from the weapon you give them for each fight.

5. Cut scenes don't occur until you have either defeated all the enemies within a room, or as soon as you enter the room. There are no mid-fight cut scenes as far as I recall.

Your points are spurious at best, and made up at worst. Mass Effect is by far my game of 2007, and my favourite Xbox 360 game by a long way. It's involving, emotive, challenging and interesting - the character-driven plot is fantastic. Graphically it is great but not amazing, however in terms of sound - voice acting and music - it's superb. I havn't got a particularly bad word to say about it. Some things it could have done better, but it does everything extremely well.

I find FIFA boring, repetitive and frustrating. The players always run where i dont want them and they defend like retards. Football games can never be relaistic as football is predictable but completely unpredictable at the same time, something FIFA can't do.

I think what I tried to do when getting into football games was to stop expecting absolute realism, and just enjoy what was there - especially the multiplayer. Although truthfully, there is a hell of a lot of things that happen in real life football matches that any of us would complain about if they were in a game!

On the topic of football games, have any of you ever played the Club Football series on the Xbox and Ps2 I think? If so, what did you think about it?

It didn't do anything overly wrong, but didn't do any aspect anywhere near as well as the two major games.

Only worth buying if you're a massive fan of that club.

In all honesty I wont get started in the main body of this thread because it is an absolutely ridiculous conception. You yourself even know that whilst your opinion of mass effect may be one thing, that opinion can not be compared to your feelings of Fifa. They are completely different games. If I am honest, I am actually in agreement with you in your assumptions of Mass effect (I am going to say assumptions since you slearly havn't played it enough to gain an actual opinion of your own) but I will be the first to admit that, that is because I am not a fan of RPG's at all. Me not being a fan, I dont feel that I have any grounds in which to comment on this specific game since I have no backround knowledge or appreciation for other such games.

Fifa is more the footy side of things so you really cant compare.
But Fifa is just intense Mass effect you have to get into the game and Want to know the ending unlike fifa, Where u just know the ending your gonna win :p against CPU

The fact that you judged an entire game and refused to play it, based on the first two chapters (what chapters?) alone, shows exactly how much common sense your lovely GCSE certificates have given you.

If you had played the whole thing and didn't like it, or had some opinions of your own, then yeah you have every right to say that IN YOUR OPINION you don't like it. But to not bother playing it (no, the first bit doesn't count) and then rip off somebody else's opinions won't get you any credibility at all.

Exactly what I windmilled in here to say. I haven't played Mass Effect or (the new) FIFA, but even if I had there is no way to compare the two. While we are at it, why don't we compare Halo 3 and PGR4? :D
