this was actually pretty good. I was expecting crap after the online slatings it got but it rocked.

lol at the cinema, once they get out of the subway and the girl gets infected, they bring out a girl with her stomach exploded and everybody was like "AAAAAAAH" and then when you actually saw the scratched girl explode, they screamed even louder, it was funny as hell

They made one hell of a monster though, it looked like the creature of resistance. Hope they make a second one, the ending seems to suggest so.

Saw this movie yesterday and thought it was brilliant. Not sure what onlin slatings you read, because the palces I looked were definitely dominantly praise for the movie. Havn't really heard any slating that actually held its own ground other than, the ending is abrubt, the filming makes you feel sick, or that its lame because you dont get it explained to you enough.

The idea of the film is absolutely amazing. With the technology we have today, if a monster was to attack a major city there would be videos of it everywhere. Approaching the normal monster movie genre through one camera and the experience of normal city residents is an absolute genius move.

Without spoiling it, or having to add spoiler tags to my post, I can see how some consider the ending to be abrubt, but I think any other ending would have ruined the feel and integrity of the rest of the film. The plot for me wasnt exactly the greatest, but when the whole idea is for it to have been following a party of four friends during the incident, the plot line isn't exactly the focus.

What stands this film apart from any in my mind is that it is a monster movie, but the focus of the film is not the monster. It plays a back role to the experience and relationships of the characters, and that is absolutely superb. They also took the risk of using unknown actors to seperate the idea of it being a movie, and that is something that paid off to a massive extent. Acting is second to none, and the characters are really played well.

Absolutely brilliant. 9/10 cant think of why I wont give it a 10, but also dont think that it quite deserves the full 10. A must watch though if my recommendation means anything to anyone. The filming didnt effect me at all and I have a history of motion sickness. I look forward to the sequel filmed from the mobile phone of the guy they see on the bridge. Thats a prediction right there. ;)

yeah, that's like the intergration of two movies right there. Your right the monster is just the backdrop for a movie that depicts the story of a monster attack told from a normal perspective using modern technology, pure genius. I think the movie perfectly depicts how a tragic story would be told during this age of technology

The reason it was slated by some critics and the public alike was because they wanted to simply know why it was there and that isn't explained.

They seem to have the inability to take it for what it is, an unbelievably good monster movie.

The public demand for knowing more about the actual monster, why and where it came from etc is just playing straight into the hands of the developers. They can continue their viral marketing schemes such as this slusho site or whatever it is, and then release another film releasing slightly more information in that area.

The whole experience, discussion, and hype that it has created is nothing short of genius.
