Are you gaming in 720p?
I like both demos.

SDTV and a portable one at that, Game TM seem to believe it looks better than GOW on an HDTV but I wouldn't know.

The graphics are good, but not as good as GoW. Gameplay wise tho is another story, I think this is up there with GoW as one of the best titles around.
Single player doesnt stand up to GoW, Although it does get rather good later on.
Multiplayer on the other hand..... It's the best I've played on the 360 so far. Reeeeaaaal addictive.

I was very much looking forward to this game but having bought a copy and finished the first half of the single player I have no urge to play it anymore. It is very repetitive in Campaign mode where you just plough through each level building up a store of thermal energy to take on the boss with, then you do the same again on the next level. Character movement speed is too slow, meaning each level feels like it takes an eternity. It looks nice but the gameplay mechanic offers nothing new, it should be in the XBL arcade section under "Old School Blasters". Online looks like it could be a couple of evenings of fun but I don't like venturing online on my own (especially in team based games) so probably won't bother with this.
I will finish the game at some point and my opinion may change but my initial feelings have stayed with me for the best part of a month. Read into that what you will.

Well i think it is a cracking game and worth the money...i got the Collectors Ed which contained the bonus multiplayer map called Battleground which was basically mission 6 in single player - perhaps the best looking level.
Games now are going to be always compared to GoW, as it has set the standards for which 360 games should asspire to be. To be honest, im not a fan of it and have said so many times on the forum i use normally (have to - moderator)
I think Lost Planet is miles better as a package than GoW - which is a game made for the masses, not the older gamer which is the bracket i fall into
Lost Planet has 11 major missions, yes overall a short game (esp if played on easy), but has replayablity vaule if you are an achievement hunter. Multiplayer is good, but sometimes quite hard to kill and be killed. Overall though another stunning package by Capcom
