i hear that xbox live is going to be free soon to bring it in line with the ps3 and wii is this true?

the wii isnt free its free to use the forecast and news but to actually play online its 2o quid for lifetime membership which is still cheaper than xbox live but xbox live is better and offers more

Why would u even want it to be free? Are you not happy with the service ? It would be so crap if it were to be free, have you even seen PS3 online ? its like going back in time 5 years and playing on the xbox, with out the mic.

The "MAKE XBOX LIVE FREE" motto is rubbish. They wouldnt do that. Especialy since PS3 are losing so much money that they will have to start charging

Xbox Live is not going to be free, there is a reason to why it has a cost which i can say if you would like me to.

The "Make Xbox Live Free" has nothing to do with Xbox Live or any of its associates.

I keep telling the guys at work, that due to falling sales Sony have offered PS3 online for free, to try and compensate for the losses.

And they keep telling me I'll get a PS3 because its better than 360, then I told them Id rather pay for a better service, than a crap service for free.

Its all "360's crap, PS3's better" at our workplace, even though only 1 guy owns a PS3, 2 of us own a 360 and the others dont even own a console.

See the reason you pay for the live service, is becuase the service is looked after, modded, updated, etc. you pay for all that. from the banning of people who break the ToU, top the updates (that i must say have the hicups somtimes). PS3 has a real bad online service at the moment, people messing about, been abusive, etc it just makes the online community a bad one.

Tell ur mates @ work to go and buy a 360 and they can see for there self how much of a life chnage it is :P
