Since we're in the middle of the transfer window may aswell see who people want to come to their team's, etc...

Chelsea signed anelka this morning for 15million which was a bit steep but we need a striker!

Anyone else got any news>?

Derby have got Robbie Savage and Hossam Ghaly. Those two should sure up their midfield a bit..

Still hoping Spurs hang on to Berbatov..

Anelka is an interesting signing for me. He has been on great form for Bolton but im not convinced he is the world class striker they are looking for. Only time will tell I suppose.

Anelka is def better then Kalou, Pizarro and Sheva though.
Derby have made some good signings, as a kinda Sunderland fan I hope they bring in a defender to replace McShane the clown and they could do with another few players.

I reckon Berbatov is safe now. Man U won't want to fork out

Reading have bought Marek Matejovsky, but I don't expect us to be buying any more players. We never do! We could do with a defender, a right-back and striker tho'

I hope they bring in a defender to replace McShane the clown
Agreed - everytime I've seen him play I've wondered how he's ever made it as a Premiership footballer.

Celtic are supposedly going to launch a 4 million bid for Van Buyten of Bayern Munich

He would be a good signing tbh

6 Ft 5 centre-half...
Can't go wrong really.

EDIT: Matchbox wont let me post the full post for some reason :(

Interesting....

- "Wenger was yesterday on the verge of wrapping up a deal for Luke Freeman — a 15-year-old striker who has already played for Gillingham’s first team"

Another Young English player to add to the list (Y). Also Spurs are looking to buy Downing for around 12m

Freeman's all set for Arsenal now :)
Wenger must feel that this guy has a lot of future on him
I mean signing a 15 year old to a club as big as Arsenal.

On more transfer news, again from up north...

Rumours going about up here stating that big Henrik is going to make a sensational return to SPL Champions Celtic.

Helsingborgs, Larsson's club, have confirmed that he isnt going to Celtic as they've have just sealed him for another year.

GIUT tbh :)

Now back to the south of the country...

Everton have sealed a loan deal with Valencia for Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandez.

The loan deal is set to last for the rest of the season.

Many of you may not care but...

St Mirren have only made one signing in the transfer window...

We signed English-born Andy Dorman from American side New England Revolution.
He played his first game today against Dumbarton,
I'm expecting big things from this player, which I did see today
But really, it was against 3rd Division opposition, so i'm just going to have to wait until we play Motherwell next weekend.

Couple of todays rumours (from bbc.oc.uk) that caught my eye;

Steve Sidwell is joining Sunderland on loan with a view to a permanent move from Chelsea. (Various)
Keane must be offering him huge wages - he was always moaning at Reading that our offer of 20K a week was not good enough because he "has a wife and child to feed". Prat.

Grr - I should know better!

Anyways, what I said was:

Sunderland manager Roy Keane will finally sign Stephen Hunt after tabling an improved GBP 5m bid for the Reading midfielder.
As good as this sounds (Hunt was playing in League One three years ago for Brentford) and it would be a great bit of business, I don't see how we could replace him for that money. Also, there is the bi-yearly wind-up of the Chelea fans that is always worth a chuckle...

Birmingham have had a 3 million pound bid rejected for Everton striker James McFadden and also a 1.5 million pound bid Hibernian full-back David Murphy.

Bayern Munich today have confirmed a swoop on Werder Bremen midfielder Tom Borowski for a free transfer.
Although Bayern just announced Klinsmann will replace Ottmar Hitzfeld as coach on July 1,the new coach had nothing to do with luring Borowski to Bayern.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Deportivo La Coruna B keeper Fabricio.
The 20 year old is considered one of Spain's brightest talents.

I don't think highly of him but that bid should be at least 5 mill.

TELEGRAPH- Wigan reportedly have interest in St Mirren striker [Goal-machine :p] Billy Mehmet in a deal that could be worth 700k to Scotland's best Scottish Premier League side :p

One of the most bizzare transfer rumours i've heard in a long time, but I would defenetly take that lol :)

Suderland have landed PSG defender Jean-Yves Mvoto for three and a half years.
Suderland will have to pay out a 300k compensation package that both clubs have agreed on.

Van Buyten has recently stated that he would like to move to Celtic Park on loan terms.
Which basically means that he would only use Celtic as a stepping stone towards a first team place at Bayern.

I don't think highly of him but that bid should be at least 5 mill.

I heard Everton had said that they were looking for roughly looking for about 5 million for McFadden.

Pompey have confirmed the signing of Lassana Diarra today for an undisclosed fee (Heard Arsenal were looking for about roughly 5mil for the player though)

News also concerning Pompey, Bolton have today signed Pompey midfielder Matt Taylor. Again for an undisclosed fee.

I was hoping that he would stay; I thought that he was great against Blackburn in the FA/Carling cup match. I'd pick him over Flamini. That said, Wenger likes intelligent players and Diarra's comments, while true, were made neither at the right time nor place, and were frankly stupid.

Not really a transfer but a rumour to do with Spurs.
The club is to change hands with Philip Green buying the club who is a billionaire and 7th richest man in Britain. Even if he does not buy it himself he maybe involved in a bid with a few of his mates who are all super rich and Spurs fans.

According to sources Mansion will not continue to sponsor Spurs and Green has some link with facebook so some kind of sponsorship deal will come from this.
