An action RPG by Naughty dog entertainment for the PS3. Originally called Unchartered: Drakes fortune.

Its one of the best games I played all year, yes it is a little on the short side but what you get is approximately 2 days of brilliance, the shooting sections can be dull at times but later on mix it up nicely. The graphics are second to none and the best I have seen on any platform to date. The story is something to keep you intrigued it has some simple puzzles and the platforming is well thought out.

The next game they will easily make the perfect action-rpg, along with SMG and Mass Effect this was the only other game I enjoyed from start to finish.

Might write more later but for now that will have to suffice!

I didn't like it, thought it was extremely boring and repetetive - with awful voice acting, especially after having played the tremendous Mass Effect. Graphically it's very very nice, perhaps only falling short to Assassins Creed at the top of my list.

Tao, define "the shooting sections can be dull at times"? I've also heard the targeting can be slow at times?

Did you like Assassin's Creed, Renegade? Cause I thought that was repetitive and I hated it. Obviously the two can't be compared directly..

And no games will be able to compare with Mass Effect for a while imo.

Assassins Creed is repetetive but more fun when you make your own rules - like getting absolutely wanted and seeing how long you can escape, that was great fun. The graphics are the best I have ever seen.

Mass Effect was truly outstanding.

I found the tearing in Assassin's Creed quite distracting. And Mass Effect is the best game I've ever played.

Either way I just bought a PS3 and Uncharted. :/

That's absolutely weird - Asassins Creed is smooth as butter for me, Mass Effect rips all over the place, especially on planets. It was lucky it was so good - I took back Dead Rising after half an hour because of the screen tearing, same with Saints Row.

Can't remember the other two. ME had not a single problem with me, none of that tearing, crashing, shitty loading that everyone complains about, etc..

AC was ok [performance wise] apart from the tearing which really distracted me. Especially when approaching the city top right of the map and whenever there was water visible in the city with the water.

Any PS3 games you recommend?

Personally, not really - I do think there are good games available but nothing that really surpasses the equivalents available on the 360. There will be soon, but at the moment not really.

But that's just my opinion, others may see it differently.

Metal Gear Solid 4 will be the only reason to buy a PS3, but that comes out in March.

So far I've ordered/looked at Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, RFOM.

Plus at some time in the future: Heavy Rain, Afrika, Haze, LA Noire, Wipeout HD, Getaway 3.

Guess that's not very much, especially as I can think of almost three times as many 360 games.

Turns out play.com didn't update stock levels well enough and the Ps3 I bought never got shipped. Oh well.

Anyone who comes across a 60GB Ps3 [yeah, I know they're pretty rare these days] that doesn't involve me selling everything I own, please let me know.

Any PS3 games you recommend?

I've had my ps3 for months now, and i only have two games Uncharted and Cloin McCrae 75. I just can't seem to find a game that isn't on, or better on than the 360 version. Really disappointed with the console as a whole. Little big planet looks amazing but isn't out for another millenia.

MGS4 is the only exclusive other than Motorstorm and Uncharted I have enjoyed, it really is a wait until the end of the year for most of the titles, its a great blu-ray player for me too though so I dont mind as much!
