[quote]Butcher has a much more specific, prosaic theory for what made Halo great

Sounds like an honest appraisal of their disappointment with Halo2 MP n that they wont make the same mistakes again with H3...hopefully! (even though H2 is still probably the best online experience on any game on any console).

Disgusting. Nice of them to come out with that two years down the line when they have rinsed everyone for a game they believe was crap. GJ.

^^^ Most retarded comment ever.

What did you expect them to do? Release the game and then immediately come out and say "Hey guys, guess what - it's ****!!". Yep, that would've done the sales a world of good wouldn't it?

I dunno about anyone else but whenever I complete a piece of work my first thoughts are ALWAYS "Yeah, it's not bad... but it could've been so much better" It is this attitude that makes people try much harder the next time and leads to a better quality of product / service.

Instead of having a dig at them you should be applauding them for having the balls to come out and say something - or do you prefer the EA approach of "Hey, our last version sold so well we don't need to change anything"?

ditto. i'm like that with my artworks & music. anyway, what's the beef? 17quintillion games of halo2 MP played in 2 years? it can't be that bad, then eh? how much H2 MP have the guys who've dissed them in this thread played? none? lots?

This interview is a thinly veiled hype fest for halo 3 nothing more nothing less.

Please don't spoil a perfectly reasonable argument with your completely valid points :D FWIW I agree - the article is simply saying "Look how much better Halo 3 is going to be!!"

@Weeeeebley: i would fully expect all the haters to have played no more than 500 games max. Surely you couldn't stomach more than that if it was *that* bad?

well m00se old boy, considering this is a halo2 thread, it's far too civilised!

what is it that you lot reckon is wrong anyway? the only things i can really think of are the glitches & the cheating. oh, and having to play with retarded 13 year olds who can't seem to say any sentence without saying 'like' 27 times & calling everyone a 'fag'

and of those things that are wrong, what games do them better? none of the on-line MP games i've played since halo come anywhere near it......

especially that world renowned "halo2 beater" Gears of War
