Does anyone know any forums or leagues that could be entered for Be a Pro mode? Me and a mate had a go on it and rele enjoyed it...that is, when you have good team mates lol. Be good to have 2 or 3 others to play with, and maybe a league or something to enter.

Big up to FIFA08, I was playing this "Be a Pro" mode yesterday......what a laugh that is. So much more entertaining than 1v1.
Highlight for me was a match I managed to run into where it was Germany v England.....it was a true contest as Germany were actual Germans and England obviously English...when I joined, it was one sided with 5 against 3 so I had to join the Germans and then it evened up before kick off. The abuse Germany got was quite entertaining but we had the last laugh as a 3-0 victory to German seen the boys giving it the large soon
shut up........thoroughly enjoyed being German for 10 minutes :)

Dan I'm interested in being in a team of 5 if you are willing to put a team together??

Im back off to Bath today so will be taking Fifa with me. Im up for getting involved in a bit of a 5 man team, or even less and finding extra's if you guys want. I still havnt even played the be a pro mode. I always find that when I think about it, I turn the xbox on and magically Forza or Halo get inserted instead ;)

Gaskin doesnt have it anymore. It was my copy and Ive moved back to uni. Unless he can borrow it off one his mates or anything. Sounds like quite a formidable little team ;)

Haha, I play as midfield on BAP mode, so everything I do is beautiful :D

Ive been playing this today and quite simply loving it. By far and away the best game mode on any game to be released to date. Have so far played a few games as right wing as it's my favoured position in real life, but find it difficult to get into the game as I havnt really honed my skills with the left trigger which really would come in handy for beating players.

Played central midfield as Gerrard which was classic fun. Really enjoyed it and made 3 assists as well as scoring 1. And have just now played with Ibrahimovic and scored my first hattrick on my striking debut :P lol.

Seriously good fun though and this is from a stone wall pes fan. Well up for playing a few games with any of you guys at some point. Would be good to get a little team together and a tournament really would be good fun.

Fifa is the way forward until PES gets sorted or PES9 comes out because as far as I'm concerned it really doesn't come close.
My copy will be going on Ebay if I can bring myself to it :)

Offline pes is still far superior in my eyes, but Fifa is miles and away better online this year. Even if pes online get sorted they still dont have the game modes and interactivity that EA have delivered with Fifa 08.

Yeah, in all seriousness, it would be great to have a team, and I'm sure there's a few tournaments we could play in the coming months. And if Gaskin doesn't want to play, I know a guy who's in the top 100 on the online rankings who may play with us. I know Leigh and Rene play to win like me; so, we could be beast.

I won't have a normal broadband connection for about a month. So, that puts a bit of spanner in the works.

And Dan, "his days" sounds as though I'm going to stop playing PES. ;)

I think that competitive football gaming will head in this direction where players will play in teams of three or four, and 1v1 will be regulated to what FFA is now in FPS.

Oh Yea, what Fifa has done is really going to change football games Im sure of it. Im not sure that regular pro evo style will be completely disregarded but further games can only look to push the limits and aim for that elusive 10 vs 10 game.

Ive found a few things annoying about Be a pro. Firstly that you cant tell who is talking at any point which is slightly annoying considering weve grown to be used to that in most FPS. An also that you cant see when the captain is changing the team. If you go into a random game with people you dont know and dont talk to them, you have no idea whether they have changed the formation before the game or even the line up. That is slightly annoying when you try to pick the position Gerrard is playing and you end up playing as useless Lampard etc. More annoyingly though is when the player you are controlling gets his position changed by the captain. Playing as Spurs today the guy decided to drop Keane (Me) to left wing and bring on defoe. It took me a while to realise and was contuing to play as the RS positioning myself there.

Hopefully EA can only improve on what really is a great mode though and we can have something truely sensational soon.

I don't mind who is skipper, we just need to make sure that we cover the backline because my understanding is that when you select 'ANY' it is the only position where you can switch and if everyone picks a specific position then your left short at the back with online matches.
Funny I was thinking about 10 v 10 this evening as well, definitely the future. The only annoyance I have to date is people quitting when they go 2 nil down :(
