I was looking at one or two HD films to get, but then I noticed that you have 24 hours once you press the play button. ****ing MS pricks.

You only get to keep them for 24hrs?!
Do you have to actually download them or do they stream from XBL?

You download them, and they stay on your hard drive for up to 14 days. But once you start playing it, you get 24 hours to watch it, then it's gone

Well, go and rent a movie from Blockbuster - two days, right? It's not like you can watch it over and over for 14 days unless you rent it again. Exactly the same as on Marketplace. You can watch it over and over for two days, same as a DVD rented from Blockbuster. It's a HD rental service - I'm gonna be using it!

I see how it will compete with the rental service...but is it 24 hrs or 2 days? Also how long does it take to download? Is it a matter of downloading the film the night before or a few hrs before you want to watch it?

It's 24 hours. It will probly take a few hours to download so you'd need to download it a day before or afternoon before you want to watch it.

That is the sux0rs but I spose it is actually a relatively good alternative than drivin to blockbusters n gettin a standard DVD.

Already got the HD DVD of 300, but it's good for 100 points. Not a particularly good film, but for 100 points you can't complain.
