Xtival PES2008 - Semi Finals Fixtures and Results

Right then, since a crazy wire cutting gas man visted my brothers house, he apparently has no internet for around a week and a bit. So it has been placed upon me to arrange the end of this tournament. Apparently ive been thrown in right at the deep end though with a few fixtures being a bit behind (unless I am mistaken)

The first semi final, usually would be very straight forward, but with Dan (kHz Gaskin) Having no internet, he is looking to visit my house this weekend to play his game. So Kev, if you are available sat eve/night then this game should be able to be played..

Apologies John, Missed that one when I was going through the thread looking for the results.

Time Limit for trailing fixtures is now over, decisions will be made upon who will progress. Plenty of time has been allowed for these fixtures and quite simply we cannot waste any more time waiting...

Edit: Johnny Nelson is to progress from his game over XCL enemy. He was more active in attempting to arrange his games in both the group stages and the last 16 match. Therefore in interest of this competition running to a smooth end. He will progress.

Craig Azim is to play Johnny Nelson in the quarter final match. This game has until Midday Sunday Sunday to be played.. Unless further discussion is underway in which very small extension may be allowed.

You were good at one thing in the XL event, Running with ronaldinho, now ppl have learnt the game your tactic simply wont work, Jonny Nelson is one of the best players on the pro evo scene, he is 10x the player i am so why you think you would have beaten him is beyond me,

Also unlucky with your application to join reason gaming, looks like they wanted me rather than you :(

you should do your research on the pes scene before shooting your mouth off.

Lets see you at some of the other events that pesrankings hold and see how you do as you seem to think that XL means everything.

Winning at XL is a major achievement but it doesnt give anyone the right to receive beneficial treatment. At the end of the day, that tournament has been won and I expect all players to up their game in anticipation of XL4. Hopefully all our online events will help you to improve and be ready for the challenge! :cool:

Gaskin still has no internet and was unable to get to my house yesterday to get the game played. I beleive his internet is being re-wired on the 19th. (although dont quote me on that) Semi finals and Finals will be played in quick succesion around that date.

To be honest, just before i was to play you at Xl, 4 people wished me luck telling me how much of a prick you were, they were right.

I dont class myself as "so good" and to be honest i hardly play pro evo much, you full on sweat it out on pro evo and its basically your life. And i beat you in the final simple as.

My tactics obv overcvame yours and your statement about jonny being great, i dont doubt it and to be honest i would have liked to play him.

I dont understand how you can tell if some1 wants to play more than others. I asked jonny 4 or 5 times to play and had no reply.

And well done on being recruited by Reason, to be honest i didnt apply to be recruitied i asked them if wanted me to play pro evo for them.

Im sure they will be happy with 2nd place at next XL.

And maybe next time you'll score without free kicks.....

PS: Something that really makes me laugh is when players tell me that "all you ever do is run with ronaldinio" or "cut backs cut backs". Its a game, and if it works do it...

At the end of the day this is run on a forum, not on Xbox Live. Considering the event admins can't see what you have done and what he has done, what more did you expect? There's no proof that you made an effort aside from you saying that you did - and you're hardly going to say 'I didnt bother at all' are ya? If it goes to a coin toss one of you is going through and one is going out. It just so happened that you went out.

Stop being so bitter, there are going to be plenty more tournaments so if you think you can keep winning them you will have plenty more chances.

I apologise on not being able to sort out stuff, but my brother's managed to keep things in order during my absence. For the record, I stand by his decisions, he was right to put someone through for clear forum communication. Unfortunately we can't see your XBL messages, so if you make the effort on and off the forum in future, it'll be easier for all of us.

Sorry enemy but you are clearly wrong. It wasnt for no reason. The tournament still has to run and your game had not been played for a ridiculous amount of time. The tournament has to continue even after that fixture is resolved by whatever means, my decision was based on the fact that throughout the fixtures (and not just your last 16 game) Johnny was in more contact on the forums with the other competitors. That is the only thing I can monitor, and when an event is being run through the forums, in the interest of the rest of the competition it was the right decision.

You can feel hard done by all you like, at the end of the day, if you had got your game played then there would have been no problem. You didnt. Therefore a decision had to be made.

gd game but was spoiled by some crazy lag in parts, my 3rd goal seemed fine but wen it went in on my screen his players just stood on the line trying to run n kick it out of the net clashin into each other lol

It was fair game in the first half I think, 2-2 and not much lag at all. Not saying that you won just because of lag, but my brother will confirm this, every goal from then on went in when I had the ball supposedly lol. Crazy how the game still hasn't been fixed. I'd love to play you again when the lag has stopped, I feel it was whoever got luckier within the lag really. But despite this, I wish you luck in the final dude!
