Air Support On or Off?

Just some feedback from the community as we look set to start our COD4 tournaments within the next few weeks. The results from this poll wont necessarily affect rules for XL LAN events...

Basically do you want air support on or off for our online COD4 5v5 tournaments?

Do you find it a mild irritation or down right annoying? Is it tactical genius or reward for camping...or reward for just generally kicking ass?

Theres no option to have UAV (ie recon) on and airstrikes/choppers off so its simply a case of "on" or "off".

You cant have that James...its either on or off (UAV, Airstrikes and Chopper are all part of air support and you cant individually select which ones are on/off).

Problem with UAV and Airsupport is that once you have that advantage its hard to lose it.

Hopefully they allow individual changes in the near future to disable certain settings rather than bunching a load all under one on/off catergory, i'm not sure why they didn't have this from the off.

id say have it on for game types like Domination, but not TDM and SnD as it gives a clear advantage to the team infront, but in domination it can be used tactically which i would like to see as otherwise domination games will not be able to be turned as much

UAV are so cheap its unreal. Its like gps on R6V i think it takes away the tactical side to game tbh especially if you are the last 1 left the u seen "ememy UAV" you think ah well i tried lol its almost certain you are gunna die lol.

For me the ideal way is to have the bare minimum requirements. Basically a gun and 1 frag and 1 special of your choice. This way it will determin the best team in the tourni as they will have obviously got the best tactics, team work and skills etc.

UAV, Airstrikes, claymores, c4 etc can relay on alot of luck. About being in the right place at the right time, or wrong time for and furious opponent lol.

Id say off, i hate choppers everyone elses seems to kill me and mine just fly about and do chuff all! lol

But it would be good if you could choose what you want, i'd be all for uav and airstrikes

thats because you dont talk to them and tell them you love them as you bring them in, you have to make them feel special and loved otherwise they just havent got the heart to kill anyone on your behalf, try it next time you get one, it really works and youll look like a real man for saying it out loud so everyone can hear you

don't realy matter if it's off unless someone takes out 5 players. UAV can be camped off its only 30 secs.
