Just some feedback from the community as we look set to start our COD4 tournaments within the next few weeks. The results from this poll wont necessarily affect rules for XL LAN events...
Basically do you want perks on or off for our online COD4 5v5 tournaments? I would have given the option to have a mixture with some turned on/off but its impossible to determine or prove whether someone has used an illegal perk so its a simply "on" or "off".
Please vote in the poll and post below explaining your choice.

No brainer.
Off = Even playing field, and that's what we all want surely.

No perks = No C4, no claymore, no special grenade x 3 or frag x3.
All you start off with is 1 Frag and 1 Special Grenade of your choice (Smoke, Stun, Flashbang).

Not bothered whether there on or off.
The only problem I see with having them on is 3xfrag on search and destroy(which should`nt be a competitive gametype).

Depends, some like 3x frags, martyrdom and increased bullet damage shouldn't be allowed but steady aim, extra conditioning, overkill and last stand imo should be allowed.

i think we came to the verdict that its all or nothing since its so hard to enfore individual perks vince, the whole 10ft wide cake or not a single crumb if you like

off obviously, claymores, x3 frags, MARTYDOM!! etc, are all for noobs, i wish cod 4 didnt even have perks
Off. Gives everyone an equal chance and it then comes down to individual skill not the fastest shot.

The perks should be set to something like the PC version where only certain perks can be used.
Something like bandolier, stopping power, steady aim for all. Nothing noobish about it, 2 shots to the face is already a shot too many.

You cant turn individual perks on/off, and stating which you can n cant use would only lead to arguments/cheating accusations. Therefore they will be all off.

Ya true, without sounding too much like an xbox naab, is it possible to make mods for 360 games for tournaments like on the PC eg/ CAL, ED, CB, Eurocup, etc all have diffrent settings, which ofc is alot easier on the pc but is it possible on the xbox ??

Nope. Unfortunately we actually have to wait for IW to release a patch for silly things like the weapon sets on system link as well! :(
Its a shame, because i would really miss my Bandolier.. :(

you can say that again just adds a twist to the game i mean come on id rather have realistic like claymores and C4's useable instead of not using them

We've been through all this before. You cant have some of the perks allowed because theres no way of turning the others off or preventing ppl from using them. Therefore the only option is to turn them all off.
