Xtival FIFA08 - Quarter Final Fixtures and Results

Please use this thread to arrange your Xtival FIFA08 Quarter Final fixtures and report results accordingly. You have until midnight Wednesday 5th December to play all Quarter Final fixtures.

You are to play each other twice as part of any one fixture alternating host accordingly.
The host will set up the game and play as the home team.
The aggregate score will determine the winner.
In the event of a draw the away goals rule will apply.
If both teams are tied then an additional game of 4 minutes per half must be played with away player listed below hosting the game. If both teams are still tied and the away goals rule is still inconclusive, then the tie will go to penalties.

The Quarter Final fixtures are as follows:

3. Teddy FVz vs AXEL 4O
4. iD South vs plantpot16

Please note: you must remain as the same team for the duration of the tournament.

Please report your results in the following format:

Fixture number: 1-4
Game 1 Result: 3 - 1
Game 2 Result: 2 - 3
Aggregate Score: 5-4

The winner from each game will progress to the Xtival FIFA08 Semi-Finals. Good luck! :cool:

The prize for winning this tournament is a 360 game and 2100pts. We only received one Samsung MP3 player and that has gone to the event with the most players which is the Halo3 FFA.

Err, since when has any football computer game been decided on a 'best of 3' series?
And i'm sure the Champions League is ran the same way in Germany as everywhere else.
He clearly does know a lot more than you.

To be fair we usually do the knockout stages as one game only but just wanted to make this tournament as close to "Champions League" as possible and theres no other way to deal with aggregate scores in this situation. There would have been a "3rd game" if your fixture had gone to "extra time". Anyways well played and hope to see you take part in the next one mate :cool:

- World Cyber Games, SEC, ESL, EPS, Consoles and so on... Matchbox was the first tournament i've seen which have that rule ;)

MatchBox360 online tournaments rely on players reporting the correct results and players being honest. We havent had a situation like this for almost a year now and its pretty sad that it has happened again.

@ Plantpot - these games cannot be classed as a "no show" as I am aware that South was trying to get hold of you all night and you actually played the games so trying to get a default win is not going to happen. Unless you can prove otherwise then the result win stand in Souths favour.

I tested it earlier and you can view your recent results whether they are ranked or not.

The semi-final fixtures will be announced when the outstanding QF result is in.
