View Full Version : Greedy B******s (Wii Shortage . . . or not)

Ok so I am now getting a Wii for something for all the family etc etc to play at christmas however having found everywhere sold out because of people buying them all up to sell on Ebay on an even larger scale this year takes the piss, it should be outright banned to do this, not only do they take the UK ones but when you then go to order from the European stores they are all gone from there too, this country is full of a load of greedy f*****s, I am not impressed at all.
Then to top it all off the stores that do get them in are broken (gamestation)
So basically there would never have been a shortage of Wii's and you can find the full UK supply along with half of the french and german Wiis now sitting on ebay, it happens all the time and I swear to god it pisses me off how people blatantly extort others.

I saw one in Gamestation Walsall today as a bundled pack for 330 quid...the person who came into the store to buy it turned his nose up at the price so presume its still there.

Ha ha nice one Joda, they get whats coming to them, hopefully karma will kindly screw the rest of them over soon enough :D
I highly doubt its still there Kon, most of them went of the website for those who could actually sign up and they were all bundle packs at around ?310.
EDIT: I would also like to point out since when does it cost ?25 to ship a Wii, I shipped something via 48hr a while back which cost ?18 and weighed twice as much, they take the piss on the price, then on the delivery too!
SOLUTION: Don't buy a wii.

Won't there be a lower demand for them after christamas and they'll be cheaper ;)

Well not cheaper, demand will still remain high a couple of months after christmas as it will be the people who waited for the after christmas sales picking them up!
However, I just managed to get one ordered from amazon :D sold out 5 minutes later! So super mario galaxy for me this weekend :D

I work for Argos Direct and we sold out our last shipment of 45,000 Wiis in 90 seconds. Just a word of warning - Amazon don't have stock either, they are selling their expected shipments. Chances are it will arrive on time - but there is a slim chance it might not, so don't get your hopes too high.

Already been shipped, its arriving tommorow :D
Gamestation on the other hand is another story, I had ordered earlier that day then went through the checkout only to find later the Wii had not been included, this now means I am left with a shipment of games coming to my door which I do not want (well not at the prices they are charging anyway!), will never even attempt to buy from them again. Hopefully I will get refunded quickly as apparently orders cannot be cancelled with them even when directly notified!

If it's online order just refuse to accept it - they get sent back and refunded.
