why do i find it really hard to play on 50hz. I have to change my tv to 50hz to record in colour but the game just fills so much different on 50hz. My double shot feels impossible i can no longer pull them off quite regular. it just fills weird and i dunno why. it also seems like it reacts slower

Yea it will do that, if you previously played it at 60Hz it's obvious really that when playing it at 50Hz it would appear slower, that's because you have slowed it down.
The screen isn't refreshing as quick as it previously did therefore making things appear that much longer after.

60 over 50 is a 20% difference. 60hz is 20% faster than 50hz, people in the PC world would lick their grandma's armpits to get a 20% bonus in anything - get a better capture card. You can get a K-stream xpert or something for about
Are you using a Dazzle 90 by any chance?because I know when I used to be on halo3forum.com they had lots of problems with PAL 60 and the Dazzle 90 turning out as black and white.
I suggest a Mercury TV tuner (or any PCI tv tuner for that matter) with an s-video input through an advanced AV Pack to get crisp quality.

You can pick s-video leads and adapters up from any electronics store really, Maplins is usually a good bet.
