All prizes are being supplied by Xtival for this series of comps and theyhave only given us enough to cover first place in each.

Ok, i hate to be the moaner and i know it IS part of the game BUT:

Barcelona are far too good in this game, people say their defence let them down yet they have THE BEST defender in the game in Puyol - its as if hes an olympic athlete who can run as quick as dwain chambers yet is as strong as Iron Mike Tyson himself. Then the others are not exactly mediocre are they.

Now i was dissapointed when i noticed how many Barcelona's there were when i opened my fixtures (3 and one *tbc* - my moneys on him picking barca as well). Anyway as always i thought what the heck if you want to win you got to beat whats put in front of you.

So i played my first game against DX MrColl who seems to have beaten everyone so far. A few minutes in Thierry Henry collects the ball around the edge of the box and begins an assualt on my goal - one of my players tackle him, yet he barges them off before i get a chance to do anything, my second defender tackles him, yet he does the same again (remember i aint just shoulder to shoulder with him - both these defenders actually took the ball off of him yet he got it back SOMEHOW) then a THIRD defender took the ball from him yet he done the same...again and went one on one (and of course we all know Thierry dont miss in this game) hence making it 1-0.

Now i wont take a thing away from MrColl - hes a very good player and even though i won one i do not wish to meet him again in this tournament (hopefully the feeling is mutual :D) as i know it will be very very close but i play people who are Barcelona and have a close game with them - they then pick the same team as me and/or a different yet similar team and i smash 4 or 5 past them in one game.

Maybe its my bad luck and i expect nothing to come from this post apart from people telling me to stop whining and get on with it. I just thought it was something to think about for future tournaments. I honestly believe a tournament will be a hell of a lot more interesting without the use of Barcelona - just something to ponder :D

Anyhoo, i had a great first game - thanks to MrColl for being a good sport and a great opponent. I look forward to the rest :)

Barca are to good full stop, but they have to be good because the people who use them arn't very good at the game so its just a compensation realy. (That came from the bottom of my heart)
Have you looked at some of the barca v barca games in this tourny, i think i can recall seeing a 5-3 and a 3-2 what is this a rugby score.
