The online nature of the competition is vital to its success, and the slight delay will allow Konami to solve the current problems PES2008 experiences online.

I received that pertaining to an online Konami event; so, seeing as they're on the inside track, I'd go out a limb and say that online will be a lot better by the 15th (start of the Konami event) and the 25th.

there'll be some goals in the cup i bet, especially with the begginer keepers, they all need full frontal labotomy's.

They way it plays at the mo, i can see some embarrasing scorelines. Cue me to be on the bloody end of one I bet.

What exactly is the problem with Beginner 'keepers online? Is it set that way as default and unchangeable? Does it actually show the option darkened out with it set to 'Beginner' AI?

Well, I haven't played any online games. I've played a lot of offline games though, and I said it even after playing the demo a couple of months ago, the 'keepers are crap on any AI level from beginner right through to Top Player.

At least on Top Player they save the shots - not so on beginner. They seem to have a problem saving everything.

Listen, with my luck the keepers won't be a problem.
By the time I hit the crossbar twice then take a rebound of the corner flag, get hacked to pieces without any penalty award(eh Hursti?) then try and convert a few shots in a Johnny Wilko stylee then the keepers won't need to worry
.....oh yeah did I mention the players trying to batter ten bells out of each other as well before they attempt to get to a ball that's not even for them. Beginner's eh!!!

You didn't get hacked to pieces, my player just decided to karate kick you to the floor...behind the ref's back :).

I request all matches be played with the Adidas Powerorange ball, I find it much easier to see than the standard blue one.

I guess it doesn't matter to you guys though? Unless one shade of ...grey? is easier to see than another.

It's blue and green I have a problem with - however, the blue ball doesn't present a problem, which is all good. For example - on Beaver Creek on Halo 2 if I was on the wrong map I couldn't even see the blue team.
