So whos playing PGR4? What do you think of it and is better than PGR3?

Personally I dont like the red and white design of the game...it all seems very "cold" but could get used to it in time. I've only had a few races but they seem to have messed around with some of the gametypes and time vs kudos completely confusing me compared to the same race format on PGR3.

What are your thoughts and how are you gettin on with the latest edition to the PGR series?

Completed Career, working through Arcade at the moment, at first I felt that the game was horrible compared to PGR3, but giving it time and going through Career, it has grown on me, I like the motorbikes, but they just handle like crap.

I'll have to agree on the red and white design too, I don't like that much too.

Cars don't feel the same, handling-wise, feels alot more 'Arcadey'

I'm glad they don't have the PGR3 Cone challenges though! There was a few I struggled with on PGR3 on Platinum, I like the drifting though, that's pretty cool, I just don't see how you drift on a Motorcycle though lol

Don't see myself playing though once it's fully completed tbh, just doesn't have the same feel that I liked as PGR3.

Edit: Also, it's very hard to read the text at the bottom of the screen in the menus on an SD TV :(

PGR4: 6.9/10

Bought it two days ago. Haven't completely overplayed it yet but have given it a good bash, and a fair chance to prove to me that it is better than forza.

To be honest, I like it. It doesnt pretend to be something that it isnt. Bizzare know that PGR is the arcade racer on the 360 and I think the game works on a better level now that they have. Still doesnt seem better than forza to me but il definitely keep the game and more than likely enter any competitions that come my way on it.

I really don't like it as much, the graphics for me are the biggest let down as there is still the issue of jaggies, less yes but not much better. With this dissapointing me and Halo 3 starting to get boring I now just have to wait for Assasins Creed and Mass Effect, hoping they last out till a new online game I like gets released, Naruto might be able to fill that gap or I might pick up the new PES as it does seem much better than 6 which I picked up cheap the other day.

Just played the demo so far and liked it. Still not enough for me to go buy it now but might look into to trading some games in for it nearer Xmas.

I wouldn't buy it (all driven out on Forza) but Blockbuster finally got rental copies (Bizarre Creations made them meet a sales figure before they would allow them to rent the game) and took it out for a spin this evening.

Same old for me. PGR is a good driving game but driving games are not my bag. The red and white design is not in keeping with the previous installments and does make the game seem more arcadey but lets be honest it was an arcade racer to begin with. It looks and plays very well. The motorbikes are fun but as previously stated handle like ****.

I don't think the game will last very long either. One criticism of PGR3 was that compared to PGR2 the career mode wasn't very long lasting and it doesn't feel like this one will be any different. I progressed through the first driver bracket in about 30 minutes and there are only 3 more left to get through. There are Arcade challenges to stretch it out a bit but an old hand at PGR won't find this very challenging.

For Achievement whores this is a good game. I got 400 points from it in about 2 hours and I wasn't even trying for points I was just trying out the different gamemodes and vehicles.

It feels like PGR 3.5. The game they wanted to release at launch but couldn't finish in time. Its a good game but not one I'll be buying.

@Demon, how did you come to 6.9/10 why not just say 7?

i've got the motorbike handling down to a fine art...- and they're much faster than the cars when actually used properly.
