I see the age limit for gears of war is 15 or older for GOW.is this just for gears of war or for the whole tournament.I think it would be great if it is any age apart from GOW.Please post with a answer ASAP.

Unfortunately for our younger players who have previously attended, MatchBox360 XL is now restricted to players and spectators aged 15 years or older.

Having been in contact with both trading standards and the NEC with regards to this, it has been decided that due to the BBFC 15 Certificate on Halo3 and the fact that Halo3 will be featured in the main room, everyone attending MatchBox360 XL in November must be aged 15 or older.

We are aware that this may disappointment a number of our younger gamers, however we have no alternative other than to force this restriction as we could face fines or imprisonment if we do not comply with the licensing laws.

As agreed with the NEC and trading standards, Gears of War will still be played with explicit content turned off, however I am pleased to confirm that Gears of War will now be played in the main room and the finals will be projected on the large screens.

Please do not purchase tickets if you are or on behalf of anyone aged under 15. Anyone found to be under 15 will be turned away on the day and a refund will not be provided.

Ok well most of us are 15 anyway.Do you have too provide proof of age on the door IF you look under 15.or do you have to provide proof of age HOWEVER OLD you look.

tbh bus passes have your D.O.B. and normally a photo on them, so its valid ID

Anyone who appears to be under 15 will be requested for ID. If you are in any doubt that you look under 15 then please bring your ID with you as you will declined entry if you fail to provide sufficient ID when requested.

Any form of photo ID that includes your date of birth will be accepted such as passports or even your birth certificate with proof that you are the person stated on the birth certificate. Please bring original copies wherever possible to avoid any potential problems.

lol. i can defend myself, and anyway, kon has stated that any for mof ID that has a photo and dob is fine, and guess what, a bus pass has that, for alcohol you need the pass holographic features

My whole team is over 15, I have my driving liscence but i dont know what the others have.

What sort of ID are you guys looking for? I dont even know if those of us that cant drive have a passport or not.

If you are under 15, as long as they have been given written consent by a parent/guardian then its fine as far as Ive been told.This is the reply I got when I asked xleague.tv .A few nights ago they had a 14 year old lad playing halo 3 which is age 16 rating live on tv.Surely you will be allowed to do this on a non-televised event.

Unfortunately Xleague aren't in direct link to Matchbox360 XL, and it's the arena which Matchbox360 XL is hosted in that will not allow any players under the age of 15. Even with parents consent, XL is not legally allowed to let under 15's into the event.

no really i wont but i only have an out of date passport , my DOB certificate or a bank statement. im trying to get my college to get me a knew student card.. but again thats more money :(

tbh Kon i can't see anyone going to the bother of taking their DOB certificate to XL. I personally wouldn't risk leaving it in Brummy and some 'shifty fellow' forging it.
